JK Rowling said that two people she didn't expect to die would (and there's probably more deaths on top of that!), and that one person gets a reprieve...I've heard discussion on who dies...but not who gets a second chance at life. Who do you think that is?

I'm hoping Harry...if she ever intended to kill him at all. Or Snape. But certainly not Voldemort Razz

I think it would be Snape if anybody.

But, I think this is false information. Snape doesn't deserve to get another chance. Some people have to die for what they believe in.

I don't think it is going to be Harry, because I don't think he will die in the first place.

It could be Sirius, but I think JK said sometime on her site that Sirius isn't coming back to life.

and I don't think the reprieved one is already dead. I mean bringing someone back to life is an awfully big thing to unintentionally make it into the story. But "oh yes...they survived the battle" or something like that isn't.

But Luna said that Sirius wasn't dead. And sometimes Luna is right. This is just so confusing.

she didn't say he wasn't dead...she said...I think...that he wasn't gone. that harry would see him again beyond the veil...ie when he dies. they will be reunited, but not in this world.

If sirius could come back through the veil, he would have done it immediately. And since he can't get out, if harry went in for him harry couldn't get out. though its possible they could converse each on one side of the veil.

I don't think anyone should get a second chance except for Sirius. I think it is kind of stupid.

Hmmm, I'm thinking that Snape is pretty likley for coming back. He has always been a bit on both sides, so it would make sense for one side to think he had died but not the other or something of the sort. As for who dies, well I'm pretty worried about Ron, or another Weasley.

well pettigrew already had a bit of a reprive, so i don't know if he'll get a second one. that wouldn't be quite right.

but what if he redeemed himself? (he still has that life-debt) I mean he and harry aren't ever going to get along...but he could live out the rest of his life in solitude. Same with Snape.

I think Pettigrew won't die. He gets away all the time. In the PoA, they didn't take the precautions to get him up to the castle. They could have put a charm on him so he couldn't transform like Hermione did to Rita in the GoF.

Dumbledore didn't say a life debt. He just said he might come in handy one day.

In the PoA, in the print, it said he might come in handy. You probably were getting it confused with FanFic.
