There is already a thread somewhere about this. I am not going to lock it because the thread is way far back.

I think that Snape is a good guy. I have my reasons in my head, but when I try to explain them, I confuse myself. I think that Snape is going to die in the 7th book so that Harry can kill Voldemort.

I think DD wanted Snape to kill him.

Ok when I read the poll I thought you were supposed to put what you thought at the moment in the book when you read it the first time. Well I put Oh god please dont KILL ME!!! Thats what I thought happened at first... when I read that DD died at his hands my 6th book got thrown across the room and split into... I should show you the copy... it has teas stains pizza stains and all... though I have to say it is in better condition than my 5th book...

Dumbledore asked Snape to kill him he did not plead for his life. He was not afraid to dy he said that death is just another adventour.

he also didn't wait very long before "pleading". Snape burst onto the scenes and a DE asked him for help...but DD gave him no time to respond. Now if he really trusted snape, he wouldn't doubt him right away like that. Like the rest of the Order, he would have thought he was running up there to attack the Death Eaters, not Dumbledore.

Also he wouldn't have asked for him explicitly and then the moment he comes to him, doubt him. It just doesn't make sense.

Remember when Snape and Dumbledore were arguing? What were they arguing about? Snape didn't want to kill Dumbledore!

Dumbledoor is dead! Snape killed him and Harry hates Snape for doing this.

NOw lets backtrack a few books and look at harry history of believing things that is not really true. First Thinking snap is the one that makes his scar hurt in book one. The book two he believes he is the heir of slytherin.
Going on to book three he wanted to kill Serius for betraying his parents. Book five he believes that being in the Triwizard tournament is for him to be killed . (no, to bring voldemort back). Books five ...

You get my point i am trying to make here. Dont believe everythign you readi in her books. There is a twist to this that is going t make poor Harry

Lets not be over eager to believe the end of book six.

So Harry is wrong and Snape killed Dumbledore on his orders? I think you have made a very good point.

With the next book called the "Deathly Hallow" and one meaning of Hallow:
to make holy; sanctify; consecrate
or
to honor as holy; consider sacred; venerate

One possibility is DD wanted to die to come back as a more powerful being (I know, it echos of Star Wars and I'm sorry). Or another possibility is that DD is so powerfull, he might have been able to conjure a spell to nullify some of the effects of the kiling curse so he can still help Harry.
