Joe stopped and waited for a while as Samantha told him that she had just needed to retrieve her purse. Standing there and waiting, he decided to follow after her just in case something happened. And something did happen. Overhearing their conversation without really projecting that he was there, Joe finally cleared his throat when Samantha looked his way. He moved closer to them before he said, "It's your decision what you want to do, Sam." He smiled gently over to her.

Samantha turned scarlet.
"I-I..."
She thought of how just a few minutes ago she was sitting alone with her pink frosted cookie and now had two guys that liked her. Samantha looked at Phil. Tears glistened in her eyes. Then she stared at Joe.
