First surprise...Longbottom's grandmother(Augusta) was one ...and...Minerva McGonagall too!!!
Then, a lot of Blacks, surely in Slytherin...Walburga Black, Orion, Alphard, and Cygnus...then, we have Ignatius Prewett and Druella Rosier.
hagrid. tom riddle the prefect got hagrid expelled because he framed hagrid and told armando dippet that hagrid was raising the monster, which was a spider.
myrtle. you have mentioned her.
how did he meet mcgonagall? do you think they were classmates? how old by the way is mc gonagall? if he was in the same year as mcgonagall, then yeah he would also know augusta longbottom (although she was not yet a longbottom at that time).
horace slughorn. favorite teacher. i think slughorn will have an impt role, since he is the only one who knows lily AND voldie well enough. perhaps he can tell harry what charm lily potter used to save him.
maybe eileen prince? the mom of snape? i reckon they are about the same age. _________________

Yep!!!I knew I forget sth...of course, Eileen Prince and Hagrid!!Well, I think McGonagall and Augusta were in the same year, they were friends, probably Gryffindors, and it would be VERY interesting to know McGony's age to know is she was a Voldy' classmate...Sluggie and Dumbledore were classmates too, a lot of time ago...

if mc gonagall were voldie's classmate then she must be about 70 years old already. was it mentioned in any of the books how old she was? i know that in OOTP, she told dolores that she had been teaching for 39 years. _________________

June 1943 (depending on whether it was opened Sept-Dec, or Jan-June): Tom Riddle was in his fifth year; he opened the COS
June 1945: Tom Riddle graduated from Hogwarts
- I got that the COS was opened around that time since it was said so in COS that the chamber was opened 50 years ago. If COS was set in 1992, then we can conclude the chamber was opened 1942-1943. I am inclined to believe it is 1943 because the diary of Riddle opened in June 13. Riddle was in his 5th yr in June 13 1943, but in his 4th yr June 1942. When Malfoy said the chamber was opened 50 years ago, perhaps he meant 50 “school years” ago.

no idea. well, jk said that charlus potter (or whoever harry's grandpa is) is quite old already. they had james when they were quite old, hence james being an only child and pretty much a spoiled kid (you can see that he is quite big headed in book 5, a result of being spoiled).
as for abraxas malfoy, i have no idea how old he is, but im guessing that lucius, being quite close to snape, must be around his age. in that case lucius was in hogwarts together with james and lily. i just do not know whether they were in the same year or not. probably, they were. usually you are closer to the people in your year than the people who are not in your year. If lucius is close to snape, it might be that they were classmates at hogwarts and hence shared a dormitory as well. _________________

But Lucius is a bit older than Severus: Lucius was born in 1954( all about this in Wikipedia)
Narcissa was born in 1955, Bellatrix in 1951...and Severus in 1958...he's the younger one...when Bellatrix was at 7th year, Lucius was at 4th and Narcissa at 3th year...Severus was 10 years old, he wasn't in Hogwarts yet...when Lucius was at 7th year, this is interesting, Cissy was at 6th AND Severus at 3th year...maybe he met them then or possibly through those oustanding Dark Arts meetings... _________________ RP:Draco Malfoy

check lexicon. mcgonagall is a few years older than volders. i think she was in her theird year when he entered hogwarts. most likley augusta was her classmate. hagrid is two years younger than riddle.
i think slughorn is younger than dumbldore, but nevertheless they were colleagues.
even older than DD is griselda marchbanks.

lestrange and avery were probably among the first recruits. if you take a look at the chapters Horcruxes and A Sluggish Memory, slughorn mentions their names, and tells them to go to bed and not to forget to do their homeworks. So if Lestrange is as old as voldie, then bella must be quite old to marry a man about that age. Voldie must have been about 70 by the time of HBP. (50 years ago + 16 years old when he opened the chamber + 4 years that have elapsed since COS). That must explain why the lestranges are very close to Voldie. they werent just mere recruits. they were "intimate friends" since their days at Hogwarts. now, i dunno about Avery. sounds like a slippery friend. _________________
