Now, is it just me, or is there really no reason that we can't have 100 x 100 avatars? The avatar requirements seem seriously ridiculous.
That being said, hello! Would you like to read random facts about some girl you don't know, probably never will know, and will most likely become annoyed with? Then you have come to the right place!
~ My name is Prudence.
~ I'm a college freshman and a sorority girl.
~ According to quizzes and online communities, I am a Slytherin. However, I am a most unique Slytherin.
~ Trelawney is my favorite Potter character. In part, my love for her comes out of pity. She truly deserves more respect than she receives, however. Since Sybill Trelawney doesn't have a large fanbase at all, much less with Slytherins, I think it's safe to say that I'm weird.
~ I'm trying to write an essay, but I keep getting bored and distracted. This pretty much reeks, because the essay is about my boyfriend!
~ I hate dead forums. This place had better not be dead.
~ I act 7-years-old one minute, and 47 the next. Bear with me.
~ In every fandom, I pretty much like the (usually adult female) character no one else does. I don't do so on purpose, like I have been accused of doing, and I can't stand hypocrisy.
~ I know Mandarin Chinese!
~ I collect Pullip dolls. They need to make Potter Pullips.
~ I talk a great deal. _________________

Welcome to the forums, Prudence! Thanks for the detailed introduction. As you probably already saw, this isn't a dead forum. While we are not huge, we are a very tight and active community. Most of our members enjoy being a part of a community where you can get to personally know all (or almost all) of the members.
To answer your question regarding avatar size limits, our limit is 80x80 pixels. Allowing 100x100 isn't much bigger, but we stuck with the default limit of 80x80 since it is the convention among phpBB forums. While 100x100 wouldn't ruin our design (a little bigger than that and it could), it would be a change to a policy that's almost two years old. _________________
