PG.257 Harry Potter and the Socerer's stone. The Centuars arn't allowed to reavel the secrets of the planets.(Future) Bane reveal's something bad will happen.("Remember Firenze, we are sworn not to set ourselves against the heavens. Have we not read what is to come in the movement of the planets") This tells me something bad will happen to harry and the good side. PG 259. Firenze hopes the planets have been wrong before.

wow, i cant belive i didnt think of what the centaurs were talking about before. i am usually good about finding things that could be clues but i think that is a major clue that i cant believe i overlooked

but...the bad thing could have already happened when dd died.

Dumbledore know's that the Centuars know what will happen in the future.
Them knowing what will happen, influenced dd to hire Firenzie, (and that he was banished from group)

I'd read that as the coming war will be *really* bad.

The probability of failure is high, but that doesn't mean that even with all the cards stacked against you, you can't win.

My lecturers were talking last week that Hitler had 100 year plans, 500 year plans. He was that certain of success.

Britain basically went into WWII as a sitting duck. But we made it.. with a lot of help from our friends. Very Happy

Which sort of brings in the fact that Harry is nothing without Ron/Hermione, they are *friends* who complement each other. Each is defenceless alone.

The consequences of the war maybe unexpected. Prehaps the end of their wizarding world?? Something unplanned, which is what the Centaurs can foresee.

i am kinda pumped for this order vs DE battle. iv elluded to it in most of my posts because there is deff going to be a big battle leadin up to the harry vs voldy showdown. its gonna be good

Prophecy says one must live while the other dies.

I figured during the 1st book they were predicting either voldemorts attempt at the stone or something in future events (the war against voldemort)

i bet jkr is gonna like try to make everybody happy. like have him die and then come bak to life. so it'd be hard to argue wit. like one person is HA he died and then the other person is but he lived too.

she's the kinda person who'd do that.

and i'm sure none of u really want harrykins to die anyway.

i have a theory!!!

harry will die saving ginny.

ok, so here goes.
harry has already destroyed the five horcruxes.
harry is the sixth horcurx.

voldie wants to kill ginny.
then harry begs for her life and says
"no please! not ginny! take me instead!"
and so voldie kills harry.
harry dies saving ginny, thus leaving her with a protection, similar to what lily potter left for harry.
then voldie tries to kill ginny.
whoops! the wand backfires.

lord voldemort is gone for good.
harry died, but he dies a hero.
there. harry did not kill voldie, but because his heart is pure and full of love, he was able to counter voldie.
the only power that can stand against voldie is love.

That is a good theory. But doesn't it say somewhere that Harry is the only one who can kill LV. If that (what i wrote) is true, than there is no way that ginny could could kill LV. Even if harry did sacrifice himself.

I think this is true, heres my take:
Well I know its been said that 2 people will die and I think they will be Harry and Voldermort of course. I successfully predicted before book 6 that Dumbledore would be the one to die because his was the next logical death to occur. I was led to this because it is my belief that Harry Potter was born to be alone, he was born to live a hard life. This is why everyone who is closest to him has died. His parents were killed, Sirius was killed so the next step was for Dumbledore to die and that he did. It was also a necessity because without him dying Harry would have still have to rely too heavily on Dumbledore, it was time for him to finish this on he own. Harry Potter was born to live and die alone. Everyone around him dies and it will come full circle when he himself dies.
As far as him killing The Dark Lord, I don't think that he will actually do the deed. I don't think that J.K. will make Harry kill. It just wouldn't seem right no matter how bad Voldermort is and would be too out of character. It would just be wrong to make Harry commit the deed of murder. I think Voldermort will kill Harry and by my interpretation of the prophecy he himself will die.
