i clicked no because i refuse to believe dead mermaids look that horrid. and if it were real it would be all over the news. not just the net.
why are all these mythical creatures turning up and so ugly. i mean that unicorn a few weeks back was fugly and now this elegant, shiny mermaid... looks like the bat from ferngully mated with a vampric fish

i don't think it's real, but that creeped me out bad!
and ravvy, i'm sure it was prettier looking when itwasn't all decayed and stuff (if it was real)

but that is a horrid, horrible, horrifying mermaid... i do hope mermaids dont look like that. i still like my idea of mermaids looking like sexy women brushing their long hair while singing a song to lull the sailors to sleep and eventually lead them to their doom.

*yawns* If you believe that, then I have a condo in Key West to sell you . . . Honsestly, that thing is not decayed, which makes the fact that it's not real rather obvious. Being at the bottom of the ocean in no way preserves carcasses from the decaying process . . . it actually speeds things up quite a bit. The fact that it looks preserved and so statuesque is a testament to how completely fake it is. Nobody ever came across a real mermaid before, and the first one happens to be a perfectly preserved carcass that is completely exposed to the elements.

Bingo! That was my first guess. I am not really going to take any credit for being creative enough to figure out what it really was since it was so painfully obvious. If I could tell right away what it was, then there is something wrong with the people who beleived this story to begin with. I though I was gullible!
