You should try going outside to read Harry Potter. That way, you can enjoy the beautiful summer AND Harry Potter.

I do the same thing I'll read the books get an idea for an icon, video, banner,or a fanfiction story then write it down and write or make it later.I go outside few and far between and only ever to take care of my dogs.

I have tried reading outside but there are so many outside noises and don't forget the heat and bugs!

It's easier to imagine what is happening in silence, but ouside you just can't get that really.

I can't read outside during the day either. If I have to be outside during the summer, I have to actually be doing something (i.e. working), I can't just sit there in the sun.
Now, reading outside in the evening is great. Get out there at dusk, right after the sun's gone down but there's still light to see. The temperature's usually pretty nice around that time - you just need something to keep the bugs away.

'ear 'ear!! listen to wise rav here!

i've never been much of an outdoorsie person and i dont like the sun that much, night is way better anyway

i'll just say this, dont let other ppl talk you out of what you really like doing, dont let them tell you what you "should like", be proud of what you like, this world would be soooooooo boring if everyone liked the same stuff

I love to be outside, in the sun and getting a good tan etc. I am almost never inside when its summer. If I read a book then I prefer to be inside, otherwise Im outside most of the time.

You're just like me! Very Happy

I think for a long time we've all connected Harry Potter to the summer because that's when the books have been released in the past, and also the plots of the books always start in the summer and end after the school year is over. So to me, summer means Harry Potter!

Last summer I read all 7 books in order, and then read 6 and 7 all over again.

This summer I so far have read #7, and I think I now may work my way backwards. LOL.

Happy reading!

as much as i love harry potter, i could never give up my summer just to sit inside and read.
summer is my absolure favouritest season, so i try to get as much as i can out of my summers as possible.
i got all sad last year when i spent the entire summer holidays in freezing canada, (as much as i love canada too), because it meant i didn't get any beach time.

i usually do my hp reading in the winter time, when i can snuggle up in my bed with some hot chocolate
