It's genes. That's what JKR said.
It would be like the difference between brown eyes and blue eyes. Some people have brown eyes, other people have blue eyes. That's because of genetics.

It's genes. That's what JKR said.
It would be like the difference between brown eyes and blue eyes. Some people have brown eyes, other people have blue eyes. That's because of genetics.


That's what I said basically. I was more or less agreeing with you, just putting my own spin on it. Instead of it just no being present in muggles, it's there but they don't have the gens to use it.

It's true that the gene could be present in muggles.. it would be a dormant gene. Like what happens with muggle-borns.
