Is he not a muggle?
I thought that Tonks' mom got like disowned because she married a muggle...yet he is on the run with Dean and the goblins because he is a "muggle born" also, when harry and hagrid get to their home near the beginning, he tells harry that he healed him...implied that he has a wand or something?
anyone? |

He was a Muggle-born, not a Muggle (and she got disowned for marrying a Muggle-born).
OotP chapter 6:

yeah he's a muggleborn. but somehow I was under the impression he was a muggle as well. so yeah I was confused at first in DH too.

I kept getting that impression from the way it was written as well. I think it was more the way that muggle-borns were looked at by death eaters seeping into the story-line of the trio.
