You cant really count on projection polls anyway.. What's the margin of error?
I don't know.. I'm just starting to get to where I don't even care anymore I just want a democrat in..
Kerry was winning in ALL of those polls last time . . . They mean nada . . .
Well they're the most accurate tool we have right now. The problem isn't the polling itself, but the fact that the election is months away so it's nearly impossible to predict at all at this point.
Also - the big issue with Kerry's defeat was that he ran out of money halfway through campaigning, and by October the polls pretty much showed him losing the election. Obama probably won't have the same happen to him, seeing as he has three times the amount of money McCain has right now, and doesn't have problems at all getting people to donate. McCain will have to rely on the federal campaign funds, and thus he'll have to wait until labor day to start really campaigning, whereas Obama will be able to start early and he won't have financial caps. '
I'm not saying he's definitely going to win - just that he's got a good shot at this point. _________________

Yeah, right now she'd be a $30,000,000 hole in his campaign budget. _________________
True, but still I think she would be his best running mate.
Like I said before, it depends on the strategy. With Clinton, he needs to win the campaign that Gore and Kerry both failed to do. He's got a pretty good shot at doing it, but one mistake and he loses the entire thing, so there's not much buffer room.
On the other hand, if he takes a Dixiecrat, he could get a lot of states in Appalachia to lean left, and then start attacking the West - New Mexico, Colorado, etc. etc. This scenerio is harder to pull off, but it'll give him a lot of room for error.
His last choice of course, is to run with me. In this scenerio he'd win every vote in every state. The downside is that after we won, Obama would undoubtedly be assassinated because everybody in the country would want me to be the President without waiting 8 years. _________________
