Seriously, can't a group of Muggles go up into the mountains and see a group of giants camping out? What's stopping them? Can't they go into forests and spot dragons, not all of the Muggles who have accidentally seen could possibly be tracked down by the Ministry to modify their memories. And given the impact that these two creatures have on the land they occupy, there would be unexplained environmental desecration and the Muggles would defnitely try to get to the bottom of it, at which point they would bring camera crews and armed forces, and eventually capture a giant/dragon by force. Even if wizards manage to modify memories about the actual sight of these creatures, how would they make the Muggles ignore the environmental damage caused by giants and dragons?

^Yeah, that's one of the reasons the dragons rounded up, anyway. To be safe.

Hagid also says they have memory charms put on them.

What if they have cameras or camcorders? And how would they account for the environmental damage?

As was stated above, they'd use memory charms.
Also, there is environmental damage going on for real that people deny. I see no difference.

Look atall the so-called proof people have now of the Loch Ness monster. the Yeti, and Bigfoot... not to mention all the stories and drawings of dragons.

Like what has already been said,

No one would believe them. And, since the Ministry is so smart I bet they have charms that make muggles see something different like with the Quidditch World Cup and Hogwarts.

they used memory charms

Flying saucers, bigfoot, aliens, all those things have been "reported" being scene in the papers. Most of us just shake our head and laugh. If there was an article in the paper tomorrow about a flying car being sighted, I'd probably just wonder what crack that person was on.

It's complicated... You have to wave your magic wand around in tiny circles... yell "Costumus Officus!" Then... and this is the hard part.... run up to the fake cows as fast as you can... and throw all your weight against it. Then run away as fast as you can.

Shewho taught me!

You need to get a wand for it to work. Otherwise, they stay hidden in their cow costumes.

you can still try it though but you must have a video camera and post it on youtube for it to work.

Well, along with a huge assortment of repelling and protection (and memory) spells... I'd say they used a giant drop cloth.

Throw it over the dragons, hey presto! (Just kidding!)
