Harry hurried to platform Nine and Three quarters with the trolley, trying to calm Hedwig as he ran. "C'mon we're going to miss the train." he called back to Ron and Hermione who were behind him with Ginny.
He braced Hedwig for the impact which was never coming as he ran straight at the barrier. He came out and quickly moved away, waiting for Ron and the others near the train.

Draco walked along the train, peering into all the compartments until he found an empty one. He motioned for Crabbe and Goyle to follow him inside. Then he looked out the window and noticed Potter and his friends entering the platform.

"Perfect..." he said to himself. "Potty, the Weasels, and Mudblood Granger."

Hermione followed Harry. She did'nt really care where they sat as long as it was far far away from Draco Malfoy. She could not wait to sit down her trunk weighed a ton.
"can we find a place to sit down soon" she yelled to Harry.

Draco saw Granger running frenziedly down the corridor, looking for a seat. Smirking to himself, he motioned for his minions to follow, and left the compartment. He felt that a little bit of torture was in order. Not that he had anything better to do anyway.

Harry looked back at her, "We need to wait on Ron and Ginny." he paused for a second, "Y'know what never mind. They can meet up with us on the train, let's go and find a compartment." he said as he climbed onto the train, searching for an empty compartment, as far away from Draco as possible.

Hermione looked back and saw the Slythern boys following them. She glared at them. why are they following us she thought.

Turning a corner and nearly running into some frightened looking first years, Draco saw Harry and Hermione dawdling in the hallway. He approached them, smirking. "Well, well, well. Look who it is..."

Harry sensed something was wrong so diverted his gaze back towards Hermione, "Why the bloody hell are they following us?" he said irritatedly.

"Let's just get a compartment quickly." Harry said as he walked into an empty compartment, "Here should do." he said, placing his bag down.

They seemed to be ignoring him. He frowned; he was not accustomed to being ignored. He saw them sit down inside an empty compartment. As soon as they had taken their seats, he slid the door opened and leaned against the frame, staring at them.

"I wasn't planning on doing any ass-kicking," said Draco. "I was just bored and looking for some...entertainment. And that seems to mean you. Why don't you join us in our compartment?" He waved his hand towards his compartment.

Harry sneered, "Why would I do that? Just so you can get your moronic friends to attack me so you don't have to?" he asked, not sure why he nodded then headed out of the compartment.

"Actually, Potter, if I wanted to attack you, I'd do it myself," said Draco, leading the way to his compartment and holding open the door for Harry. "I wouldn't trust them for that. They'd probably just end up stunning themselves. They haven't exactly got much brains."

Harry thought about this one, he really had no reason to lie to him, unless he found out about the pollyjuice potion incident in second year. "Uh, I dunno, you tell me?" he said.
