I believe that DarMonkey should have a rule in the Free Promotion section that doesn't allow anyone else to post a Harry Potter forums site. Well not a rule, but more of their request to post about their HP forum has to be approved by an admin or moderator.
What do you think?
Not that we have competition, but I think it would decrease competition. _________________
Seeing as most sites that are advertised are HP related sites/forums, it is just more work for the staff, it would cause much confusion and we do not mind to much about the computation. Most sites are free forums, we own a domain, owned by a large company who owns 100+ domain registrations. _________________
Alfred: Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
Kino, thank you for the suggestion. I agree with almost all of your reasons. However, I personally believe in giving others the opportunity to grow their own community (even if it doesn't make the most business sense). We provide the Free Promotion forum as a place to allow people to advertise sites and would be difficult to promote effectively without some sort of financial investment. We restrict promotional posts/links to this forum to keep clutter out of the rest of our site, as well as segregate these posts from the rest of our discussion. Our members are not forced to read about these other sites unless the browse this section. In my opinion, they should be given this opportunity, as long as they abide by our Forum Rules and the Free Promotion Forum Rules. _________________
