It really wasn't suicide... It was a reflected curse. I'm sure he didn't plan that.

I agree. Suicide is when you preplan your own death. He certainly didn't plan on that happening.

Yup... it's not suicide if you killed yourself on accident.

I don't understand why he bothered with that curse. It failed him so many other times. Laughing You'd think he would have learned after the forest incident and from Gordrics Hollow.

I guess it's sort of like in those action movies, where the bad guys keep shooting the good guys. Their bullets usually miss or they're at least not deadly hits.... but the good guys hardly ever miss and their bullets blow the bad guys off their feet and send them sailing backwards several yards.

was he really the one that caused his own death? i can barely remember the end to deathly hallows now, it was kind of confusing.
but wasn't it because harry got the wand from malfoy, how did voldemort do himself in?

He did himself in by using the Elder Wand to attack its master (Harry) while Harry disarmed him. Stupid of him, really, when he already failed to kill him with it just a short while ago, and Harry already explained to him that he was the master... But I guess he just wasn't thinking straight, having absorbed all that info (about Snape and Malfoy etc.) at once.

Didn't Dumbledore always say Voldemort was sort of ignorant ?

Yup. "Of some kinds of magic you remain woefully ignorant". His loss...

I dont' think Voldemort was ignorant so much as he was... an arrogant dumbass. He was overconfidant and didn't think enough before he acted.
