Thanks Gin! Somehow I missed the post that Interficio made, or else I would have explained it. _________________ What luck for ruler that men do not think. ~ AH

that's Christian.
I love how people, instead of saying the religion. Are instead saying separate factions of the Christian Faith. Instead of saying it all as a whole.
The fact is, Lutheran, baptist, catholic etc. all part of the Christian faith. Not their own separate religions _________________

Yeah, they have the same base belief system, but there are a lot of differences beyond the basics. I've been to services for different denominations (used to be in a brass group that played church services), and they all do things a little differently. 'Christian' is a pretty broad brush, I guess giving the denomination just helps narrow it down a bit. (Though I'll never understand why some small towns have several churches of the same denomination) _________________ I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I think it has to do with the pastor (priest, reverand, rabbi, etc) and the people themselves, of course. _________________

Yes, I think so too.
I was raised Greek Orthodox Catholic, but ever since I really started getting into science and stuff, I've changed my beliefs quite a bit.
I don't really take part in an organized religion now.
I do respect the Christian morals though. |

when people say that their catholic or baptist or lutheran their assuming that you know that their different denominations of christian. they just say that to be more specific. if someone asks me what religion i am i say i'm anglican, not christian. they would know when i said anglican that i am christian, but they would also know that i'm not catholic or something.
there are minor differences in the different types of christian and so sometimes it's good to specify what kind of christian you are to avoid confusion. _________________

I was raised Methodist, but now I go to a non-denominational Christain church.
I think it's the best church ever, it's sooo much fun!!! but that's just my opinion. _________________ Outkick, Outpull, Outrace

I was raised in a Lutheran church. Though I don't believe I became a Christian until later in life. I have many beliefs and they are ever changing. The reason I would call myself a Christian and not label myself with a denomination is that my interpretations don't all coincide with what most "organized religion" says.
So religion in one word, Christian.
I would also like to learn more about Islam. I keep telling myself I am going to read the Quran then I get caught up doing something else. _________________
