I noticed this a while ago, but just remembered it when watching CoS (again...) today.

At the end, when Harry frees Dobby:

"Harry Potter freed Dobby!" said the elf shrilly, gazing up at Harry, moonlight from the nearest window reflected in his orb-like eyes. "Harry Potter set Dobby free!"
"Least I could do, Dobby," said Harry, grinning. "Just promise never to try and save my life again."


Well, Dobby didn't listen to Harry, did he? He went and tried (and succeeded) to save Harry's life again (from the Malfoy Manor in DH) and died doing it... He should have listened to Harry... Sad (Actually, good thing he didn't listen, otherwise Harry would have died I guess.)

I'm not sure I agree with this. Yes Harry said this because at the time Harry didn't want Dobby interfering because when Dobby did interfere, Harry got hurt in some what or another.

However, doesn't Harry ask for Dobby's help in DH. I don't remember, but correct me if I'm wrong, Dobby just didn't appear at the Malfoy Manor without being called, did he?
