the main Charcter is Conor Broekhart, who was born flying, and he wants to invent the first heavier than Air flying machine with his mentor Vigny, butt hings go wrong when bonvilian the bad guy kills the king and Vigny, the people of the island believe Vigny killed the king and the only witness is conor who confronts bonvilian, Conor gets captured and bashed beyond regognition and disguised, then bonvilian tells his parents he is dead and show him to his father and told them he killed thier son, his father dont regognise but proceeded to hit the boy, out of his mind with grief because the man had murdered his son, even tho the man was his son, anyway Conor is sent to a prison where he mines diamonds underwater in a diving bell and twists the prison gaurd to give him things that alone would be harmless but together would help him escape, in return for letting the prison gaurd take claim on 2 inventions conor designed in prison.
