I think, if it is possible, we should have the age that we signed up with permanantly in the left sidebar. Noobs wont know about it until after so that they cannot try to deceive the system (even though some will lie anyways)
for internet/child safety i was thinking maybe we can have
13 under
14-17
18-24
24-30
etc.
so if anyone is speaking with you, you know their age.

It depends if Darmonkey can find a mod to install. Personally, I don't think it will help because people do tend to lie about there age. So, Even if they put a birthday there is no saying if it's the truth or a lie. This actually could aid internet predators because it help them look for younger users on Potterforums and message them. _________________

ravvy, thank you for the suggestion. We currently do not collect ages or birthdates during registration. We simply require that all people registering are at least 13 years of age to fulfill COPPA requirements. I also have privacy related concerns, among those described by ThE_DaRk_MaRk. In my opinion, this is a modification that I think would cause more potential problems than benefits. I do not intend to install a modification like this at the current time. _________________
