i would like to discuss voldemort for a second.

everytime we see him he is in the dark, we never read about him enjoying a warm sunny day.

now with his snakelike appearance you would imagine he would like the warmth of the sun.

do you think he was allergic to the sun? did he not know about the muggle product sunblock? or does he even burn easily?

....................discuss.

Didn't Dumbledore say he was in fact afraid of the dark?

So he's low on vitamin D (you get it from sunlight)? That could explain his depression.

So, Voldemort could either spend 25 minutes in brigh sunlight every day, take Vitamen D tablets, or eat a healthy balanced nutritous diet.

...neither and none seem likely...

He always had to be hiding because there were only about a thousand wizards looking for him. Laughing What did you expect ? He would probably take a walk and possibly get attacked. Also, he only trusted his death eaters so that might have something to do with it. The only time I could think it would actually be safe for him to take a walk would be book 7 when he basically took over the wizarding world, except Hogwarts of course, but he could still be attacked by the wizarding rebels. Very Happy

In the end they were always at war and I am sure he never had time for nice walks.

I would think that, with his pale skin, he would burn easily in the sun. As a man of reptillian appearance, one would also assume that he would in fact enjoy basking in sunlight. However, how many people would like to see him basking in sunlight in the first place?

The the dark lord having such a lovely time basking in the sun, it would seem possible if not very likely that people can sneak up on him (unless, of course, his death eaters were basking there with him) in which case people might clear the area.

Since Voldemort wants to rid the word of muggle rule and thus would be against the use of muggle products, no doubt Voldemort would create a sunscreen charm to protect his sensative pale skin. I am quite sure an unnamed Death Eater intorduced him to the wonders of SPF 50 and was, minutes later, being swept under a rug.

Of course, Voldemort would generally be accustomed to being in darkness as he is the Dark Lord. However, due to the fact that he is part snake, the lack of light would cause him to be sluggish and tired. But everytime we see him in the books, he is quick, maltempered and quick to react.

Therefore, we can safely assume that:

1) The dark lord does enjoy basking in the sun, as it warms his blood for a day of causing terror.

2) He enjoys sunny days very much, as well as its warmth.

3) No, he is not allergic to the sun. If he was, he wouldn't bask in its light.

4) He was introduced to sunblock.

5) He does burn easily, but he has a magic charm to prevent it.

Problem solved.

Well it's probably not a good idea to be walking around in broad daylight if everyone in the world knows that you're planning a genocidal world takeover.
