The 1st book I read was Prisoner of Azkaban. I saw it in the library ages back and the cover looked awesome. I love mythical creatures and I thought why does the Griffin have hooves? Didn't know about Hippogriffs!

Technically, my first one was Sorcerer's Stone . . . I said PS anyway, since SS is basically that book with some different wording.

yeah heres a funny story for you all.

even though i started out on Cos then PoA i didnt remember all that well of SS. well i was i think about 11ish prolly 12 or 13 by then when i decided to pick up SS. Well at the time i was literally living underneath the stairs in the closet at our house. i was like spiders check, depressed check, miserable check, glasses check, cramped in a closet under stairs check and check. its like wheres my letter hogwarts!!

That surprised me at first, too... then I remembered that I hadn't read the Baby-Sitter's Club books in order, along with the Sweet Valley books.

Neither does the babysitter's club. The order in which they are read is irrevelant.

Yeah, but in those series there are certain things that happen that effect the next book. It's not imperative to read them in order, but it does help. My point is, it might not occur to everyone that the books need to be read in order, since there are series out there where you don't need to read them in order.
