Yeah like a reminder that she WILL fall in love with him in the next two films/books and that shes loved him previously.
I think the whole Cho & Harry thing (she says as she watches them kiss on the film hahah) I think because Harry hadn't noticed Ginny in that 'way' yet it was kind of a mid-teenage fling
But i think its so sweet how he broke it off with her in the 6th book to protect her. Although he well shouldn't of led her on by kissing her again in the 7th book!

of course he didn`t look at her in that way until she started dating like ... all school! Smile lol joke. Because she was Ron`s sister. He probably never even thought about it.

oh god yeah
I mean in the 7th book when Ron walks in too find them kissing I don't think he was too happy
& I think it's cos he knows if Ginny gets involved with all the problems to do with Voldemort she'll get hurt
But that's a bit contradictive of him really because he's involved with it all. But i mean he's probably just trying to look after his little sister
hmmmm. replies ?

Ron was always frustrated when seeing Ginny kissing someone. But i think he thought that she`s better with Harry than anyone else. but yeah, when he saw them kissing he wasn`t happy. Probably because he thought that Harry could hurt her feelings or something, but didn`t she herself kiss him?

Yeah like with all her other boyfriends. He's the classical stereotypical protective brother isn't he? I think J.K. did a good job making sure he came across that way. Yep she kissed him i remember, i think anyways. But he didn't stop it because he wanted it as well. I cannot believe the ended up married. I always had a secret hope that Harry and Hermione would fall in love because I don't know. I mean Ron and Hermione suit but I've just always seen Hermione as being right by Harry's side. Have you ever thought that? Or have you always been for Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny?

I love the kiss Ginny gave Harry on his birthday. It seems like both of them knew Harry had to die alone. All he could have was this good memory of Ginny.

Harry was pretty sure he was related to Voldemort's existence in some way. He had to die inevitably to bring him down. He pictured Ginny married to a taller stranger in the future.

And I would say Ginny also suspected that. She gave him the kiss, the strength and the courage he needed. It's as good as a Patronus.

he liked ginny because of her personalaty not because she suddenly became beautiful. it was just that harry never realised what a great person she was because ginny never talked around him but after a while she came otu of her shell and harry fell for her

I think so!

In the books, Harry always describes Ginny with appreciative words like "blazing look, flowery smell, soft hands, etc."

Just try to find all the harry/Ginny moments in all the 7 books and you'll see.

But it doesn't mean that he just love her because of her looks...

Loving a person because of his/her looks is not love at all...it is just mere "attraction"

Anyway, why are you guys so analytic about this stuff?

Why don't you just leave it that way because no matter what, we can never really measure love...It has no depth, no width, no length.

Harry loves Ginny...and that's it!

No explanation or whatsoever...

If you want to ground the situation in a sense of reality, I'm sure he didn't completely discount her looks. It definitely takes personality and having things in common to make a relationship last but, especially at the onset, there's most always an element of physical attraction. Many times that may be what initially attracts a person to a person and gives them a chance to get to know each other on other levels. It has nothing to do with superficiality, it's just how people work.

I always thought the attraction first came because he enjoyed spending time with her, because he didn't seem to notice her looks until after they had become friends in the later books. I think her looks were part of the attraction, but I wouldn't say that's the only reason he liked her at all.

At the end of the 6th book he made it obvious he cared for her, so that would be somewhat of an indication that he didn't only like her for her looks.

Of course Harry liked Ginny for her looks, but he also thought she was beautiful on the INSIDE! No relationship can survive on just looks.
