dont be so sure about that, specially before she has been through adolescence, when you get most confused about all that stuff in my opinion _________________

I was just going to reply something similar bery Often little kids are far wiser about stuff like that than adults are. Something to do with "innocence" I guess. Hate and distrust are learned. _________________ I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once. yeah, its not that they are wiser, but that they have only heard the opinion of their parents, so they have learned from their examples
as a kid grows up, he/she realizes parents arent perfect and there are ppl who think differently and they start making their own opinions
so its only natural that adolescence is the time where its most likely that they will change their opinions in many things _________________

With snape it must have been the dark magic involved that must have lured him, as we find out in the HBP he was attracted to dark magic even when he was in school.
But at least he had the brains to come over to the good side.
And malfoy, well of course he was going to become a death eater, all his life all he'd prolly heard from his ass wipe father and his mother was about the dark lord and how that was the right path ect ect ect.
But he too regreted his decision and only did voldy's biddin so he could keep his family alive _________________

i agree with this, it was definitely more the dark arts than the idea of a magical world without muggleborned ppl
also the wanting to be in a group i guess, stupid as it is

look at sirius though, most of his family was very involved with dark arts and purebloods ideals and he still turned out fine
and lucius only regretted joining voldy because he started being a threat to his family, not because he had a change of mind about the dark arts or terrorizing muggles and muggleborns _________________

i think they knew that voldemort had the ambition and the abliity to take ove rthe magical world
i would like to stand next to the man of power
and they probably knew that if they didnt join him that if he did gain the power he would come after them for refusing his 'grenerous' offer
yes they are very smart but i think that they didnt realise that if they didnt join him that he might not have been powerful enought to accomplish all he did
if voldemort didnt have them then the story could be alot different
if he didnt have the smart people then he would have to babysit the dumb ones
like belatrix is smart and she joined him because of her love for him
i think that could be the caser for them to
they were in such great awe of him that they join
but think if they and other not joined him he might not have accomplished so much
ero he would not have been so intimidating
pettegrew might have feared hom enough to reveal lily and james' hiding place
changing the story forever
maybe even destroying it
the question is why did they stay
i know snape didnt
but that was for another reason
Spoiler:
he changed for lily
voldemort would not be a good villan without good henchmen
that is why they when
Why did who stay? Lucius? He stayed because he believed in pure-blood power. He was smart and stayed with the person who offered him the most long-term power and Voldemort stood for what he believed in. _________________

also as sirius says to harry about his brother, the deatheaters is a life long service to The Dark Lord, you cannot simply walk away
its like being in a gang, your either with them or your against them, theres no inbetween and if you leave that gang, you are a liability who needs to be taken care of, you could spill secrets
not that many deatheaters got to know important things only those he really trusted, like Severus and Bella and to some extent Lucius, mostly he kept things to himself, and his right hand man, Severus, all the while never knowing that Severus was the biggest threat to him _________________ SheWho,GinnyX and Ravvy - teh n00bbusters!

i agree with what you say about that voldemort wouldnt have managed much on his own, of course, since one man alone can hardly take over the world, leaders get to a position of power only with others support
but i dont think thats the reason snape and lucius joined him, i dont think they joined him because they were scared of what would happen if they didnt join him
for lucius it was the hope that he might fulfil his ideals of a world rid of mudbloods and to snape must have been dark arts free for everybody lol

erm why did they stay? maybe because of the same reason they joined in the first place?
and yeah, if it hadnt been for lily i dont know if snape would've ever left _________________

No, no no, i didnt mean that lucius regretted it, even though he did in the end when he was at the end of voldys wand.
I meant draco regretted it, its obvious in HBP that he didnt want to kill dumbledore and that he was scared.
And as for sirius, he just had the barins and heart not belive all the rubbish about voldy. And he saw all the terrible things that voldy and his death eaters were doing when he was growing up (I think, can sumone confirm that please?)
And with Draco, he isnt old enough to remember what it used to be like when voldy was in power all those years ago, so he really had no idea at all of voldy's fury, he only heard how great he was. _________________

Sorry, I can't confirm this... because it isn't true. Voldemort rose to power as Sirius was already in Hogwarts. When he was younger, he just didn't agree with his parents teaching of pureblood pride. It's rare for children to not agree with their parents on issues like this when you're so young, but it does happen. I think Sirius was supposed to represent the percentage of people who who want to defy their parents, as opposed to Regulus.

Draco, unlike Sirius, fell for his parents' brainwashing. He was raised to believe he was better than people like Hermione. And unlike Sirius, he saw no reason to defy his parents. In fact, he opted to kill DD in exchange for his father's release from prison. _________________

oooh sorry, i thought you had said malfoy as in lucius malfoy!
anyways, as i said lucius only regretted joining voldy only when he started threatening his family, not because he felt bad about terrorizing muggles and muggleborns
draco, on the other hand, regretted it because he really wasnt an asesine, he really didnt like all the torturing and killing that was going on, i think this has way more merit than the reason why his father regretted it and shows he was a better person than his parents
about sirius, he obviously knew since he was a kid, before the first war had even started, that he disagreed with his parents ideas, having yet not seen all the torture and death that meant suporting voldy
draco may have done better than his father but he was a racist from day 1 _________________
