She needs to stop trying to free them right away. She's moving to fast. She should just try and make it so people treat their elves better.

once they treat them better they well ask for money and stuff like that. soon they well be freed because people well not want to pay for them

I don't think they will ever really be freed. Maybe paid. They do need more rights though. People are so mean to them.

im pretty sure house elves area metaphor for slavery and the whole not wanting to be free thing happened with many freed slaves who were confused about what they were to do immediately following the end of the civil war, so just run with that, cause id say theres probly not a great chance that alot of the book is gonna be devoted to the house elf liberation front when it wasnt even mentioned in 5 or 6

I agree.
She needs to take it slower... get not only the wizard to like the idea, but the elves, too. You can't free something that doesn't want to be free. They'll perish.

I think she'll gain more influence at the ministry and more political experience so that eventually she can move it slower and actually accomplish something. I mean as a student she's just that...a student. they're not going to take her seriously. and everyone she's trying to convert are students too...they don't care about stuff like that. but older witches and wizards might.

I think she'll do more than SPEW when she gets out of Hogwarts, but the underlying concept of SPEW will remain in whatever her career will be.
