I need a new computer..and i need some suggestions on ones to get.

ok answer these questions,

1. What do you want from your computer, like what do you use it for most, and what you want from it your old one cant offer.
2. What operating system is best for you www.windowsvista.com look around read about vista and see which version is best for you.
3. Do you need massive harddrive space, do you save movies, pictures, and music on your harddrive?
4. do you like an all in one computer, when the keyboard, mouse, computer, and monitor come together in one package.
5. Do you like media, such as TV on your computer?

I definitely recommend getting a Mac! I have the regular white MacBook and I love it. I've been a PC user for over 10 years and decided to try something different. I will never go back to a PC, the Mac is just that amazing. They're expensive, but they are worth it! It's really easy to use, too.

Oh, and don't get the MacBook Air. It's thin, yeah, but you can't remove and replace the battery when it explodes or something.

ya a mac or PC just depends on what you want and are used to i guess.

1. I want just like a computer that can play games on i.e. Maple Story, WoW and other MMORPG games like that. I want a mix between a gamer PC and a office PC

2. Home Premium would be best.

3. Id probably want like 100 GB of hardrive and at least 2 or 3 GB of RAM. And a good graphics card.

4. I want everything to come with it.

5. Nope.

Ohh, so you're a gamer, the Mac isn't the best option. You can dual boot with Windows, though. I don't know of any PC recommendations, I'm too in love with Macs, haha.

ok, you may spend ohh about $600 to $800

Home premium is on most systems
no TV will make it less pricey

the graphics card will be high though, and 2 GB RAM atleast for WoW and big games like that, also if you can go for 3GB. This will allow your computer to stay updated for a while.

The Hard Drive space may be around 240GB to 500GB on most systems.

Just look around on bestbuy's website and see what fits you most.

I would say go with a dell and buy the model one down from the top model. Beef it up with more memory and a better graphics card and you should have a machine that will last you a few years.

Kevin.. if you want any type of gaming PC, you want to go custom and get exactly what you want. The big brand names just don't build gaming computers. The brand ones can play some games, but not any high-end ones. So if you want to go custom, I went with www.ibuypower.com and I haven't had a problem with my machine at all. Got here quick. Very little dust on the inside because the wiring and airflow are all done professionally. and the cases are cool, lol.

He said he wanted a mix between an office PC and gamer PC. If you were going all gamer I would have said to go with an Alienware computer, but since you want both your going to need to look until you find something. If you buy a stock computer it's most likely not going to come with the things you like. That's why Eric gave you that site. Great for building your own computer. Or you can visit NewEggThey have a great variety of computer on there.

If not just buy a case and build the computer up yourself with what you want in it like I did. Just buy parts o and things off eBay or whatever.

Most likely you'll end up getting some stock PC with about 2GB RAM and about a 140GB HD.

Alienware looks cool, but they've just become another brand name really. Everything they have is way overpriced and overrated. And besides, they're a subsidiary of Dell Shocked

They used to be worth buying, but I wouldn't say that anymore.

It's always cheaper to go custom and build it yourself, btw.. you can save hundreds. But. If you build it yourself, your computer is not going to have a professional build (like wiring and airflow). Custom computers can have lots of problems sometimes unless you're an expert and have had a lot of experience building.

My opinion is, get a pre-built system so you have that professional build for air flow and such, it may cost more.
You get what you pay for usually with computers.

Build one, and dont get Vista. Too many complaints about it. Xp is the only windows id run. You can build a power machine for 600-1000bucks to play just about anything. My brother put one together last night and it should play almost any game you can put infront of it for under 700. But thats with no monitor.

There are games that require Vista to run? Wow, that's a terrible decision by the game publisher. Vista doesn't have a big enough market share to exclude XP. If they had to, you'd think they'd at least offer two versions: Vista and XP. However, you would think that it would be quite possible to make the game compatible for both. In the past, one of the few things Microsoft has done fairly well is made backwards compatibility work for third-party software.

^That's a lame move by Windows. I would never get Vista just for a game, I'd rather go out and get an X-box to play that game, especially since most of the reviews I've heard about Vista have been negative. I'm more than happy with my XP.
