I really hate the ending.

He was way to blinded by getting revenge to do anything else. And if Mrs. Lovett would not of 'lied' maybe he could of been happy.

I love the ending . . . We can sit here and say "this could have happened" and "that should have went on" all day. The thing is, life is just like that. People make mistakes, and later on people think that they should have, could have, or would have. It doesn't change what actaully happened, though.

the only reason his

Spoiler:

death saddened me was because the kid did it. I wanted him to get out with his innocence in tact. but otherwise I thought the ending was perfect.

Hey
I watched Sweeney Todd last night! Wow its a really good film, but the fact that its a musical as well, is kind of annoying with all the singing... normally or some musicals have parts in which the actors speak instead of singing almost all the way through!
Anyway i loved it, but i was sad at the end, plus its kind of sad that we never got to know what happened to Joanna and Anthony at the end!!! i wanted to know what happened!!!

I don't remember him being a drunk...he didn't act like a drunk at all. so...I don't think he was a drunk...just drank.

So, Wouldn't constant drinking make someone a drunk, even if he wasn't willing? He learned to adapt and like it when he drank a whole bottle on his own in the pie shop.

Just because they gave it to him at the work house to sleep does not mean he drank a lot of it. Just enough to help him sleep. And that does not mean they gave it to them everyday. Back then Drinking was really relaxed..

True it doesnt matter much
The kid was a cute and good child actor :p
PLUS i loved it when Johnny Depp sang Very Happy
It was obvious it was a tim burton film though cos of the lighting and the depth of the characters
