| Harry was able to figure the first part of the riddle, SPY. And did not get the next clue "what's always the last thing to mend, the middle of middle and end of the end". When he got ER for the next part and came up with spider as the creature he would be unwilling to kiss he got the clue right but what is the last thing to mend....? |

^ as Ginny said, it's the letter "d". It is the last letter in the word "mend." It's not actually something being mended. _________________

Yeah, you weren't supposed to take that part of the riddle literally.
On a side note... I was reading the book and starting rolling my eyes everytime one of the characters said, "er." If you haven't noticed, go back through GoF and take notice of all the times the different characters use the sound "er" when they can't think of the word or aren't sure what to say. It's outta control. But, it turned out that sound was actually random foreshadowing... I was so surprised.
When Harry came upon the sphinx I got that part of the riddle right away. I was like, "ER!!!! ER!!! I know it, I know it!" I felt so proud of myself because I'm usually such rubbish at those riddles. _________________

I'm planning on rereading it soon. Right now, I'm reading OotP. I literally haven't read it since the week that it came out. I'm pretty sure that I read GoF twice, though. I do need to just go through and read the entire series again. _________________

I was in the middle of rereading PoA, but then I had to look something up in DH. I started reading it.. now I'm in the middle of both books, lol. _________________
