Who the hell is Hagrid?

I see people mentioning his name sometimes in this forum and I've never of him before. Is he like Harry's brother or something?

I take it that he's some minor character that only appears to tell the children off when they invade the grounds?

Fat Giant, but he was tied up in the forrest, but latter was moved to the mountains.

please...are you being serious? Hagrid is one of the more important minor characters and there are so many things in the plot that center on Hagrid. I mean, have you read any of the books?

Hagrid is a secondary character, though. Bigger than a minor character, but not a leading character. IMO, anyways.

Have you even read the books or seen the movies? We shouldn't have to explain who Hagrid is to a FAN of Harry Potter. This thread is just waisting our time.

Yes I have read the Harry Potter books and seen all the movies to date but I did not remember anything about someone named Hagrid before people on this forum started mentioning him.

What?? He is mentioned like in every chapter of all the books. You can't have read the books and not know who Hagrid is.

Yes. Who doesn't know who Hagrid is? You're telling us you've read all the books, seen all the movies, and you still don't know who Hagrid is? Try paying attention to the books.
