In each movie they do get a little bit older then the characters they're playing, but in PoA i don't think she looked to much older then 14, maybe 15. The same thing happens with all of them though. I think Tom Felton is like 19 or 20 now and he's supposed to be playing a 16 or 17 year old in the next movie.

kate is 20,
and stacy dash was like 30 when she made clueless.
Also i think the fact that Emma's hair gets blonder in every movie makes a difference too.

yeah. when she was younger, she wouldnt have cared as much about her appearance but going through puberty she would have realised that she wanted to look a bit more 'girly'.

that sound weird but i think thats what has happened

oh i so agree with you. she was hermione in the first two movies, and emma watson in the third, fourth, fifth, and presumably the sixth and the seventh. i wanted to see a bushy haired girl, buck toothed, and stuff.

know what i find terrible? when moody asked the class, "why are they called the unforgivable curses" or something like that, then she said "because they are unforgivable" i mean, thats rather stupid, isnt it? and its ok if it came from ron or harry or neville or whoever... but from the smartest kid in class? pfff!

Yeah but i think it's a good thing Smile
The characters they play mature each movie and shock everyone with how old they look.
I mean compare to what they look like now compared to 1st year. The 1st movie.
Funny! Smile

I think Emma really matured in the POA and introduced all the 'girl power'. But she'll always be the smarty of them all Smile
We'll always see a ilttle bit of the little Hermione girl she has been from the start.

replys?

its also good that they can grow up WITH the movies, then the series finishes they will all be around 20ish, so they wont be left in the spotlight as a child star, child star as in having the highlight of your career when your 12. and most child stars usually turn out real bad, so they are fortunate for that.

as far as emma watson (im also a big fan) in the movies, i personally think shes picking up alot more attention now shes older, see dan was harry potter, emma is the girl from harry potter. which leaves rupert as the middleman and least popular. as far as performance in the movies i HONESTLY have to say that dan and rupert are phenom, emma has little flaws. i notice sometimes she exaggerates her facial expressions too much, specifically her eyebrows which already stand out alot on her. also her tone of voice (was always even from movie 1) some what exaggerated. maybe be a little bit more natural would help.
