morrowind for the pc was better than oblivion. They both had trade offs but for its time, morrowind is still better. if they do make another elder scrolls game they should take the best of both games.

I love that game. Best a RPG vidio game out there. The two things I don't like about Oblivion is that they took out spears and you can't fight on horse back.

They said it was because the power ratio would be to much better for those on horse back. If it was so much better, have more mounted bad guys so you could fight them. It would be so much more realistic and fun if they had calvery combat. They could also have jousts.

That would be awsome.

Ya, but if you beat the game, there is still a ton of other stuff you can do. I've never beat the game because I get side tracked so easly and go and do other stuff. I think it's great. But if your one of those people who just plays a game to beat it, this game isn't for you.

I'm with you. I played the crap out of the game when I first got it. Like, literally was up over 24hrs several times playing it because I'd do a sidequest, then get sidetracked while on that sidequest, lol. Basically I racked up over 100 hours a lot quicker than should be legal. Eventually I hit burnout though. I bought Shivering Isles and the KotN pack, but haven't done much with either.

At first, I thought it was impossible to beat Oblivion because of the 500+ hours of stuff you can do (I don't think that's an exaggeration...). So by the time I actually beat the game, I had already clocked 130 hours. The game blows me away. You can read any of the thousands of books, and explore anywhere. I also love how the creatures get harder as you gain levels. I mean, if you don't kill like the first creature, you can go back after leveling up a bunch and it would have changed from, lets say, a rat, to a wolf!

Yeah, I liked that too. People that complained, you can just go to the difficulty slider and turn it down. That's all the difficulty does, is makes things easier to kill.

As far as being able to read everything, that's crazy how much time they put into every one of those books. Some of those books are huge.
