A while ago my friend recommended the series to me and I tried reading them, but I didn't really like them that much. I just didn't really get them, but she loved them so... _________________

I personally haven't read them but my boyfriend has. and he likes them a lot. I know I only read like one page, but it sounded sort of interesting and similar to alot of other fantasy books with the weird names and all. _________________

It's about a bunch of different animals, like badgers and otters, and I believe the main character is a rat. I'm not really sure of the plot, but it seemed like they live in some type of a medival times setting when i tried to read it. I know there's like 10 or more books though, there's a ton. _________________

OK every body, stand aside for the Redwall guy.
Redwall is a huge abby made in the forist of Mossflower by mice, hedgehogs, otters, squirels, hares, and badgers. It is a peaceful place where all can live in harmony with each other. Ya, that only happens in between the books where we can't read. Any ways they are always attacked by rats, ferrets, stoats, weasels, wildcats, lixards, and foxes who are more than 98% if the time bad guys. There are also other places that have stories about them to like Salamandastron, Green Isle, Southwords, the Northlands, and others. The is alot more to the books than is here. There are presently 19 books in all, I've got all of them, so if I was to tell you about them it would take me several days of nonstop writing and several pages to get it all down. _________________ Name:Nathan Wolgeth

They're not really big thinker books. They were the only books though that I would read when I was younger so I owe them the respect of getting me into the vast world that is reading. Of course I'll be vervent about it.
Yes, the bad guys are certian species and the good guys others, but there are abnormalities in several of the books, and most of the times with the good guys. But its also good that when you read them you know where the good and the bad stand. Makes it all alot sympler. _________________ Name:Nathan Wolgeth

You might want to start with the book REDWALL. It was the first book Brian Jacques wrote so it will probably be the easiest to understand. _________________ Name:Nathan Wolgeth

Redwall series rocks!.. I've read and do own all of them.. My favorite characters are the Fighting Hares from Salamandastron..
The redwall stories came about from Brian Jacques' tales that he would tell at the children's cancer ward if I'm not mistaken.. hince why they are more commonly thought of as children stories because.. well.. they kind of are.. But they are so richly narrated and most books offer the normal uplifting good always beats evil and hero's are sometime the least likely of people... They are and always will be some of my favorites! |

I need those!
Wasn't High Rulain about those otters who went to the ruins of that city...I need to re-read that one. Is that a different one? _________________ /can I get an amen?/no?/ how about a hell yeah?/ |

The only one where I can remember ruined cities is the Lomehedge ones. High Rhulain is about Tiria Wildlough and how she finds out she is a ruler of the Green Isle and how she gets there. It also tells of the otter on the Isle as they fight not just one or two cats, more that a hunderd. Maybe your thinking of Holt Summerdell, but it wasn't in ruins. _________________ Name:Nathan Wolgeth
