I know that everyone is complaining about the gas prices these days. I don't blame them! Today I looked at the gas sign at my local gas station and the cheapest gas was $3.28. How ridiculous is that? It's not like Bush is making enough money on his stocks in oil anyway. I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
What do you guys think?

Also I was watching the news and I saw this report how a guy got shot in the head. The man that got shot was the owner of a gas station and he was competiting with other gas stations around him. He decided to lower the gas prices to $2.93. He got a ton of business, and the other gas station didn't. Then the man from the other gas station came over and started beating the owner of the gas station that lowered the price with a pole. Then another guy came and shot the guy in the head. How ridiculous is that as well.

The United States in my opinion is not going in the right direction. I cannot wait until Bush is out of office. Bush sucks.

Can you provide a link to this story of a gas station owner shooting someone?

Bush blamed for Oil prices? Geez.. lets just blame everything in life on the President of the United States. Yep, he's the root of everything that is bad and annoys us in this world.

Why don't you blame OPEC instead? Remember them? the oil cartel? yeah. Pretty sure they can affect the price of gas a lot more.

It's called economics. We (the U.S.) don't refine enough of it to keep up with demand, thus price goes up. Solution: build more refineries. Problem: environmentalists. And then OPEC hurts us worse by cutting our supply more. We can't be as dependent on them.

Ahaha. In Poland I believe that the gas prices are right around the $4 range in American Currency. Also I do believe Eric that Bush is one of the main causes for gas prices going up. The war in Iraq is another. I don't believe that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq because we found none. We went into war over oil. That's about it. Bush can suck my cock.

You're right. It's a complete coincidence that we went from having billions in surplus to being trillions in debt ever since Bush came into office. It's just some misfortune that we haven't been able to find the WMDs in Iraq for years on end now - they must be hiding them well. The fact that we're not moving anywhere technologically, and we're moving backwards in terms of civil rights doesn't have anything to do with our president at all. He may appoint the Supreme Court judges based on his own intolerant religion, yet it's not his fault that they oppose things like gay marriage and stem cell research. He may veto bills for child-health care, yet it's not his fault that plenty of Americans die without health-care, plenty get kicked out of insurance companies as soon as they contract cancer, and our hospital system is such a joke that there are patients calling 911 from inside the hospital.

It must be those hippie-liberals magicing the United States down the toilet.

Pretty sure the topic was about gas prices.

What does not finding WMDs in Iraq and Iraq itself have to do with any of this? If the war were about oil, like you claim, don't you think we'd have a much larger supply of it and the price wouldn't keep going up? Yeah. Thought so.

I never said the war was about oil. The war was about George W. Bush's imaginary friend telling him about the imaginary WMDs in Iraq.

I was referring to Kino's post.

As far as all the other problems you mentioned FM. Do they exist? Sure. You complain about a trillion dollar deficit yet you want things like hundreds of millions of dollars for healthcare, which would increase government spending? Obviously you want the war to end first.. but as long as you want huge spending programs like that, there will always be a deficit. Unless.. omg.. WE RAISE TAXES Shocked But no one ever wants that right? You can try to tax the wealthy, but the wealthy are the powerful. Good luck with that. Anyways, enough about America's pathetic socio-economicness. The fact is.. ur blaming the President for everything.

And I seriously doubt any candidate for president could fix or even improve most of those problems.

Oh, and this was in the news today: http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/11/20/stem.cell.reax/index.html so you can take Stem-cell research off ur list of "things I condemn Bush for" list. kthxbai.

Every powerful nation must eventually come to an end. History has proven this, and America is no exception. We have a lot of problems, and it will be extremely hard to fix. We can't blame just ONE person, because it's a history of our mistakes that led us to this. While Bush isn't helping the situation, he isn't the sole cause of it.

Lets have a little crash course in something called... ECONOMICS.

1) Oil companies wreak profits because demand exceeds supply, therefore the price is higher. High price / (this isn't a division sign) same cost to make it = higher profit.

2) Texas = the king of oil/gas. Houston, Texas City? DUH. Gas is typically cheaper here because of its proximity to the oil refineries on the coast. It depends on location and the supplies in your area.

Just because Bush lives/is from Texas, oil prices are cheaper here? W t f.

Actually it's more than 50% - i'm too lazy to find current statistics. But back in 2000/2001 it was 56%. It's reasonable to assume it's gone up since then. Also, we are very dependent on OPEC and the Middle East (which most are OPEC members) Remember the OPEC embargo of 1973? Oil producing countries got pissed off at us for support Israel and cut off a lot of our oil supply. Result: Extremely high prices and long lines at the gas pump. Don't remember it? Neither do I, cuz I wasn't born even. But I know of it because I know my info. Kthxbai.

I'm not really saying Bush is a good president. But I think a lot of things have backfired on him. I do not believe he is directly responsible for a lot of these problems. That is my point. I think people like you are simply blaming him for every little thing that goes wrong because you think you can. I for one am glad that we have a President that is not just concerned with his approval rating - and tries to make decisions that he and his advisors think are the best for the country. Maybe they're wrong - infact, I'm sure they've been wrong. But will things get better once there's a new president in place? Haha. Yeah. Sure. I believe the job is tougher than you give it credit for.

I do what I want. Because I'm from Texas. And Texas is the best country ever. We own all of you. Our gas prices are cheap because we rule. We're also a very violent and savage people, and will kill you. Carrying AK47s in our trucks is the standard down here. So don't get in our way.

its horrible. ive seen places were there 5 dollars! (3.50 pounds in England)!

there just going to get higher and higher. oil comes from the middle East and now that United Kingdom and United States have proved to be enemies to middle wast (obviosley the terrorist attacks in England were not a friendship oppurtunity and United states is terrorizing Iraq) so they are very relucatnt to give us dirt, let alone oil.

I somehow can't picture Nicole or Nat carrying around an AK47.

But as for being violent? Yes, you guys are... I know what Lily can do. Her mama is from Texas and she owns all of us. She will pee on you; don't mess with Texas!
