The EpiLogue was eXtremely CHEEZY!
the epilogue was sooo cheezy! it was as if someone else had written it all together! In addition, it did not answer some really important questions like "what does harry do for a living???"
no that wasnt said in the epilogue. jkr stated that in an interview. we only hear of neville's profession as professor - and we can assume it is in herbology, seeing as thats his forte. _________________

I don't think that the epilogue was really cheesy, I think htat it was a really good way to summerize the end of the series. How would you have made it better.
I think it was cheezy from how happy she ended it. i thought i found a book that doesnt end like a little fairy tale....i mean he lived, married the girl he loved, had kids, his best friends were happy, they acomplished their dreams....she might as well have wrote and they lived happily ever after....
I mean im not saying she should have killed the lad but like make something sad...everything was happy...
and plus its easier for someone to write a sequel now. since the golden trio lived someone, when jk rowling is long gone, can continue about their life! or perhaps since jk roowling gave harry children, someone can write a book about his childrens adventures in hogwarts!.
so what she dreamed will probably not be acomplished. someone will contincue in the future...u wait and see. _________________

yes, this is indeed ,true. she even mentioned that she felt a sort of need to kill Harry for that reason. but nope. I have to admit that i was kinda disappointed about this. but its ok... also I LOVE THE FACT THAT DUMBLEDORE IS GAY!!!! ok , just had to put that out there...
Actually, because set set the epilogue 19 years in the future, she made it much more difficult for anyone, including herself to write a sequel. It was really quite brilliant of her. She placed the timing of the epilgoue right in the middle of their adult life. And she's been telling us what they have been up to in interviews. Anything that happens after their mid 30's certainly wouldn't be a children's book.
For someone writing a story about their children, it wouldn't be called a "sequel." Because a sequel is a continuing story of the same characters. If the story were about the kids, it would be a continuing story. _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
I actually really liked the epilogue a lot (I seem to be one of the only ones, though), but I HATED the name Albus Severus. I mean, seriously? Who names their kid Albus of all things? Poor kid's gonna be ridiculed his entire life.
I mean, seriously, did Ginny even have a say in the matter?
No I don't think Ginny did. I read a fanfic where Ginny hated Harry because he named all his kids after dead people. It made me laugh since I hate Ginny. Oh well. I get rather bored of people complaining about the epilogue. Iremember when i read it before the book came out and i almost died from it's lameness but once everything was together i think i was okay with it. or i am okay with it. I'm not sure. generally i think EWE _________________ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

... his parents died, Lupin & Tonks died, he's taking care of an orphan, he's had to live through years of pain, Fred's still dead, Dumbledore is still dead... you could go on..
It's not all happyness at all, but there's no war anymore. It's been NINETEEN years since his scar hurt and since there was an all-out war. Nineteen years is a L-O-N-G time to heal..
He's not gonna cry every day because of those deaths, he's learned to live with them.
I didn't enjoy the epilogue either. To me it read as if she'd skimmed the fansites and inserted somebody's fanfiction at the end of her story. But that's just me. I was hoping for some really epic, bittersweet, Lord of the Rings style ending. Then again, for people who love to see all loose ends tied up in a story, it was probably a great ending. I think it all depends on how you like a story to end. _________________ I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once. The ending wasn't what I wanted. I wish it would have been different. I want to know what happens to Harry. And what happens to his kids. _________________ http://jakeschires.deviantart.com/
I thought it could have been done better.
It was, as someone said, to fairy tale like. It was such a tragic story that was quite complex but the epilogue was as if it was just written for children.
But in saying that it was better than no epilogue at all so its all good
I have to say i dont think much of the epilogue, itīs actually the only part that i didnt like of book 7
i absolutely adored it save those last three pages, i thought it was cheesy, boring and a bit empty
Also, i hated how ginny and harry named their children after people they knew, i hate when people do that, itīs so lame! _________________
You are up there!

I mean voldemort was dead.... death eaters killed by teachers. o well
i loved it all exept for the last line. the worst tied up line ever! _________________

When you think about it, the cheeziness is more realistic. After the dark times that Harry Potter's generation faced, he and his peers would have worked on making a much lighter and happier lifestyles for their children. It would probably come off as cheesy and superficial considering that these people have the demons of their pasts in their memories. The cheesiness might be more of a farce in order to save the innocence of their children. _________________
