Police Search for 2 Florida Men Accused of Shooting Baby Girl in Chest
Friday, November 16, 2007
A 1-year-old Florida girl remains in serious condition Friday after she was shot in the chest while her mother slept in the next room.
Investigators are searching for two men the mother left the toddler with while she slept.
The baby is paralyzed from the torso down after being shot late Thursday morning.
"The mother is awakened by a loud bang which is presumably a gunshot. When she goes out there, her child is on the floor," said Jeff Williams, spokesman for the Orlando Sheriff's office.
The mother told investigators the two men told her to get the baby to the hospital before leaving the scene. The home has a history of domestic violence, according to police records.
Police believe the men are driving a white Chevrolet Lumina with tinted windows. Call Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS with any information that could help in the search.

and some people are still not for the death penalty. wonder how theyd feel if their babies were shot.
if you ask me, ill research on the old torture methods, and apply them to these assholes. i heard one that they remove your nails whole. sounds interesting.

Why should we sink to there level and kill them ? Let the rot in prison instead of giving them the easy way out (Death).

EXACTLY WHAT I HAD SAID PREVIOUSLY! I DONT WANT MY TAX MONEY TO GO TO FEEDING THOSE PIGS!!! MAKE THEM SLAVES! FORCED LABOR FOR THEM! AND FOR THOSE STUPID GUYS WHO SHOT THE BABY, TORTURE THEM TO F*CKING DEATH!
There's nothing wrong about killing criminals, and frankly speaking, i dont see us sinking to their level if we execute them. sometimes you have to stop being too lofty and give those @$$holes what they deserve.

Agreed.
I'm not against torture, myself, in some areas, but overall, just kill them. Less festering meat in the world is always a grand thing. |

well, i shouldnt actually be in favor of the torture thing, but i just cant stomach certain things like that.
but i think that the state shouldnt spend too much on making the death penalty humane. stab them, id say

Yeah, let's torture that guy to death without bothering to establish whether or not he was the one who actually shot the baby. Let's torture both those guys to death, and anyone that we think might have been acquainted with them should be tortured to death too. Then maybe in a few years we'll be able to prove that they were all innocent, and we can torture a few more innocent people to death as we look for the real shooter.
Tell me, will torturing that guy to death cure the child's paralysis? Will it magically heal the bullet wound in her chest? I don't think we should be giving the killer luxury conditions, and I do think he should be doing labor, but killing him won't solve anything.

Two men miraculously flee a scene after gunshots are heard. If they were innocent they would have immediately called 9-1-1, or doing something better than fleeing the scene. |

It's actually more expensive for tax payers to put someone to death than to keep them alive.

Bullet to the brain can be very cheap.
And not all prisoners work. All my brother had to do was say he found god, so instead of working, he sets up candles in a church and cleans. Talk about hard labor.  |

oh yes. it can cost nothing to keep them alive. let them starve to death. it costs absolutely nothing. then feed their corpses to the poor hungry lions out there who are in desperate need of food.
a bullet to the head is inexpensive, i agree.
starving them to death is absolutely free, and it tortures them. thats cool! i have to agree.

One bullet to one persons head is inexpensive. You seem to forget how many convicts we have and the fact that it is an inhuman way of taking a persons life. I honestly believe that it would make us hypocrites to kill someone who has murdered another. How are we to play some sort of godly roll and take there lives ? Let them spend there life in prison like they deserve. Again, it is more torture then giving them the easy way out.

i am at peace with being a hypocrit if it means some child murdering a-hole is off the streets and i dont have to feed them to prolong their life when they cared nothing for this child's life.
i would even pull the trigger, and sleep fine that night knowing my son is safe for another day.

or provide them with a fork, knife, bonfire and ketchup and tell them to make it last the rest of their lives.
then it is up to them to stay alive.
