Did anyone shed tears when Dumbledore was hit by the Avada Kedavra?? Oh man, I mourned. I kept flipping the rest of the pages, hoping that JKR might have put some more pages in. Pages that might have made Dumbledore come back from the dead. Crying But sadly, there were none. Goodbye Dumbledore~~!

It was Very sad to me. I kept thinking it was a joke. That he would just come back alive. I was angry and shocked. I knew from the first book that snape was up to no good. I just hope in the next book that he gets what he deserves.

Could DD have a horcrux? He knew about it because in Slughorn's memory, he tells Voldemort that "Horcruxes are a banned subject at Hogwarts, Dumbledore's particulary fierce about it". So maybe......

I don't think he'd do that. He was getting old. He was very optimistic about death. And plus, to get a horcrux, you have to kill. Like really kill. That doesn't sound like Dumbledore, I think.

And also, Snape might not be bad. There is a theory about it that I have considered:
-
When Dumbledore says, "Severus, please..", he might be asking Snape to kill him, not pleading mercy.

Did you notice how Snape never really cast any life-threatening spells on Harry? With Snapes supposed hatred for him, that doesn't sound right.

The look of 'deep loathing' on Snapes face during the scene where he gets ready to kill Dumbledore could be a loathing for what he was about to do, not because he hates Dumbledore.
-
However, these theories might have interested me because I've always been quite fascinated with Snape's character.

I agree!

Check out this site: http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com

It explains everything very clearly! At least the whole Snape being loyal theory.

Wow, that had clues I'd never even noticed before! That makes it all very clear. I'm a pure Dumbledore-isn't-dead believer now. Razz

At least, we HOPE he's not evil. I really don't think he is though. Poor Snape. What would it be like being forced to do evil? Sad

I agree. But I think there is something fishy about Slughorn...
It would also pararell book 1/7
Someone we believe is evil is not ( in both cases is Snape)
and someone who we thought was good isnt (Slughorn/Quirell Both DADA)

Could be. Besides, Slughorn could trick Dumbledore. We all know that Crouch(Jr, haha.) did, disguising himself as Moody.

Exactly. Since I saw his name in the book I had a gut feeling that he wasnt good. I mean Slug? What kind of name is that? He just doesnt seem sincere and the whole love potion/Slug Club/erased memory is a little bit fishy.

aha? i don't care what the wesite says I still think DD is dead. As for the slug, iguess you could be rigt, he is rather fishy - the part he played in helping Tom one step closer to being the ugly, evil, slightly demanted LV is quite big and very threatening, it makes you wonder what else he is capable of.

As we all know that DD is very great man and always think of future and he has been very possesive since beginnig to save Harry Potter from danger laid by Voldemort and in OOTP he said that he din't care if thousand of nameless and faceless creatures are slaughtered to save harry......

I think DD himself sacrifised his life so that after killing DD Snape can make a horcrux of himself so then he can help harry in future to fight Voldemort ,he choose snape better then himself becoz he was getting weaker and older as it is mentioned in whold HBP and sname can be of more use becoz he even become more close to Voldemort and probably Voldemort will think him best DE.and rely on him to kill Harry but insted acting on DD's plan he will help harry to Kill Voldemort and patch up the long made Prophecy......

these are my views just reply if u agree /disagree Wink

I think that DD is dead, and the reason Snape let Harry go was because LV Twisted Evil wanted to kill him.
I seriously think Snape is evil and the reason why he did not hurt Harry was firstly because LV wanted to kill him and secondly he was afraid of DD

I just read that guy's theory and it was very convincing. I guess I'll just have to watch out for those clues in the seventh book!! Wink
