Why did they change Hogwarts so much in this movie? Some things I feel were better in the first two movies. Does anyone remember anyone speaking about the changes when the movies came out? C'mon Ginny X, I know you must have some kind of an answer for me. _________________ It's Not Over!

They made a new Hogwarts set, in Scotland. Not sure why. _________________ Ravenclaw-because smart people rock |

hogwarts is supposed to be located in scotland. the director had the idea to actually shoot the outdoor scenes there, and the producers and eveyone loved the idea. it was a good idea, the scenery was beautiful. _________________

^They added the bridge, the big clock, they moved Hagrids house, they moved the Whomping Willow, they moved the entrance of the Gryffindor common room, and the hall of moving stair cases now leads right in front of the great hall and it didnt in the first movie. _________________ It's Not Over!

The scenery changes was great, but I must admit how much I hated the change of the Gryffindor common room. It was connected to the moving stair cases. In the first two movies, they used the Gloucester Cathedral as the 'corridors' to walk into the common room, and they never went back to that Cathedral to shoot in film 3. They really didn't need it in films 4 and 5 as we never saw the students walking into the Gryffindor common room. So glad they're using the Cathedral again (in HBP), it gives us a sense of continuity of all the films where PoA and GoF lacked. _________________
