Yes. The American Lung Association is be tools on the Interwebz. I won't post such nonsense anymore.
As for the "smoking has been done for a long time?" I don't know if people used pesticides in early tobacco use...or the other goodies in cigarettes, these days. |

Are you saying you'd be for smoking if there weren't poisonious chemicals in cigarettes? Becaues I think that is what people should be fighting against... It's something that smokers and non-smokers can agree on. More can be accomplished with unity.

I don't see how it's still legal. It's okay for people to buy cigs but they ban weed ? wtf... I'm not a drugy but it goes to show you that the government only lets people smoke because of the taxes...

COMPLETELY agreed.
GinnyX--I had this discussion with a friend last night and thought of your last post. I'm thinking that yes, it is the chemicals that upset me, because pure tobacco doesn't upset my body, but cigarettes do. Am I for them being illegal entirely? No. Some of those chemicals are used for other things that have positive outcomes. I'm just against its ignorant use that is ignored, such as the examples I used previously. |

If the government could figure out a way to tax weed... Cheech and Chong would have a field day.
Keb: yeah, that's what I mean... cigarettes are mainly harmful because of the poisonous junk the put in them. Had it not been for all that garbage, then cigarettes wouldn't be as harmful and would be very comparable to basic alcohol.

We should join one of those anti-tobacco commercials and stand outside in front of the company and tell them how many lives they have taken over the course of a year. Then we could also them them how many people have gained cancer of smoking and second hand smoking. Why should a person who lives with a smoker have to deal with it ?

I can't speak for DarkMark, but I'm pretty sure he was talking about kids, who can't just say "Mom, you smoke, so I'm walking out of here."
We aren't allowed to spank our children, or smack them on the hand when they're bad, but we can give them all sorts of ailments from cigarette smoke. |

i wouldnt ever smoke in front of my children.. never.. id go outside i really would, my mom smoked near me, im pretty sure thats why i started

| I personally don't like to smoke and the smelll makes me feel sick in the morning.. but I live with my boyfriend who is a pack a day (on a good day).. so.. I'm tolerable to smoking but its not for me.. and I would rather it not be around me when eating.. |

I don't smoke, I don't like smoking, and I won't date a smoker.
Cigarette smoke has carbon monoxide in it... I don't see how they're legal (and marijuana isn't wtf?). It's all about the tax money, like somebody said up there.
