Harry Potter Beyond teaser poster contest.

The winner will receive a copy of the short film on DVD "Harry Potter Beyond" as well as a screen used wand and certificate of authenticity.

Entry deadlines are November 1st... Not much time. lol

But keep in mind, a teaser poster. No lightning bolts or HP characters can be seen on the cover. Post your results in this thread if anybody is interested.

Do anything you want but showing characters and schools and symbols, use your imaginations to there fullest. I didn't say you couldn't show a wand with magic coming out, or a broom. Get creative guys and gals.

Deadlines are in two days. Remember, it's a teaser poster.

FYI, if your going to distribute this "Poster" with the Harry Potter name on it you need to get the rights...

I am not distributing this poster. I am just posting it on here and some other websites. I am not selling it. I do need the rights, but it's a law suit JKR will NOT win.

This is totally non profit. Just for a fan film.

The problem is, you say the posters non profit but if your fan film is shown in a blackbox theater type, and you do get any sort of money for tickets then infact you can be sued.

lol, no, I do understand the legal stuff. This is a movie that will be released on you tube for a wand dual competition. It wont be in theaters anywhere. Only on fan websites and you tube.

edit: the entire movie is non profit.

EDIT: Off topic, Your photos are BADASS!!! Did you use a high shutter speed for the night shots? Keep em comin, they look great!

Profitability has nothing to do with the legality.

And you should have been more concise about what you wanted, then maybe someone would have put in the effort.

Ummm... its all up there in black and white. It shouldnt be impossible to come up with a poster based on what is not wanted on it.
I think the big thing is the short time frame.

I understand the legality.
It's 100% illegal, as is are most avatars and sigs. But they have no reason to sue, and wouldt win the lawsuit.

^^^ What rules or format for requests do you guys and gals have and follow upon creating potter sigs and potter fan art? Would this not be considered fan art?

Teacakes is right, telling us what you don't want on it is not enough for us to make one.

Your telling us no lightning bolts or Harry Potter characters. Does this mean I can make a poster with a cell phone and a banana on it and it will meet your requirements? It's hard to make something with absolutely nothing to base it off of, I know we're not artists, but we still need our inspiration.

^^ I see where you guys are comin from, hey, a cell phone is better then nothin.

Overall, I was looking for a pretty much blank poster thats an announcment, I left things very open cause I was very open for ideas.

I am currently working on Bevel Alpha channels to Embose a proper 3d metallic chrome font.

Overall, the poster will be black with the words "Beyond" some Knoll light factory flares behind it and a release date at the bottom.
I might put a hand and wand pointing straight up to the title coming out of the blackness creating the flare in the center of the font.

If anybody on here knows Bevel Alphas and such, I could really use your help. Bassically, poster font with the metal.

EDIT: This place is probably the only place you'll see the poster. And on the cast and crew cover DVD.

P.S. The inspiration would be magic, or the essence of the story, which craft and wizardry.

Basically I need that, but poster style metallic. If anybody can help with the Bevel Alpha's?
You'll also still get credit and a copy as I need it for the opening title sequence for the movie.
