Huh she will be publishing midnight sun, it's just on hold.
Yeah, but she said indefinitely. Which pretty much means Forever.
At least I hope it is forever.
she said it'd be at least years, for sure.
that much is on the website.
i'm glad, too.

I saw the movie today! It was better than the book.. which might not say much about the book, lol. I'll post my review on it later, when i have more time to get to everything!
I saw it too, and on the way home, I was sitting in the car with two huge Twilight fanatics, and they were both so pissed about how much they thought it sucked. It was pretty bad, though. But Jasper and Alice <3.
Spoiler:
Idk if I need spoiler tags, but THE S. MEYER CAMEO IN THE MOVIE MADE ME LOL SO HARD.

Zenny is ready to poo a brick over it, lol... where is she.. lurking somewhere... she asked me if it was true and when I said yes, she was not pleased, lol. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate ~ Bob Dylan Team Cucumber, FTW!
The audience was mostly girls, about high school age... maybe 15 to 18 years old? They were all well behaved, none of them acted or said anything weird when Edward came on the screen. Well, they did when he first walked in, but they were like that when all the Cullens came in. After that, it was fine.
I like how they used the most "memorable" lines... but I still felt it was very talky at some parts. Then again, I suppose they were just staying true to the book, so i won't complain.... for now. I think i need to figure what it was that irked me about it.
I actually liked what they did with it... rearranging days and stuff. The film still worked, even with the story out of sequence.
I thought the movie did a better job of showing their love.. you actually see them talk and spend time together. In the book all they talk about is his being a vampire and how much she loves him. In the movie you get the idea they actually talk about stuff other than that.
I didnt' like how Bella tells Angela to ask out Eric...
*spoilers for Midnight Sun*
Spoiler:
Didn't edward get Eric to ask out Angela? I'm guessing whoever leaked Midnight Sun wasn't involved with this film...
I loved Carlisle.
I thought Bella was so much more likable in the movie. She actually looks excited about the car and to see Jacob. Even my mom picked up on the fact that she isn't friendly, yet, she actually seemed better to me than in the book... which shuld say a lot about how she was in the book.
I thought her weird obsession with Edward from the beginning still made no sense... I mean, the guy glares at you like he hates you, why be so concerned?
I LOVED that they left vout the blood testing scene in science class. it was a cute moment for edward to help bella, and I would have liked to have seen more of Mike, but it wasn't needed in the book and it wasn't really needed for the film.
I thought Mike and Eric and Tyler were so likable... it really made no sense that Bella wouldn't like them, just like in the book. Although, I liked how Bella's eyes kept shifting to Edward while he was asking her to the dance. On a side, note... I liked how they were... ethnically diverse. You dont' get that sense in the book and I think it was a nice touch. Same with Angela and Jessica. I dunno, I just really appreciated that, since it's something that's sadly left out of a lot of films, even now in 2008.
When Edward said that he'd been watching Bella for several months... my mom blurted out, loud enough for a few rows to hear, "Creeper." I wasn't sure whether to laugh or turn her over to the twi-hards, lol. I hated how after he said that line, she leans towards him. They should have had her react to that. They went from making her likable to having her go back to the book Bella.
Ok, gotta admit, wasn't thrilled with the sparkly effects. It looked a lot cooler in my imagination. On film, it was just creepy. And i hated that. The Twi-haters will have a field day with that one, lol.
I adored the kitchen scene... the whole audience was rolling with laughter.
I really liked Jacob in this film... he was so adorable. The scene with him and Edward was great, especially Edward's foreshadowing comment about the wolves descending on Bella.
The ending with Victoria was really good, I didn't get how she was crying, though, since vampires can't cry. Besides that, I liked how it ended with her obviously wanting revenge. It was a little creepy.
The ending credits were fun... I liked it when they fell back onto the grass.. it made that eariler scen make more sense. It didn't make sense before... like, why would they just randomly lie down together in teh meadow? It didnt' seem natural. But that ending part made it all make more sense, lol.
Did I mention I love Charlie? The actor was great.
Ok, my overall review is... I thought the film started out very strong, but ended pretty weak. I wish they had kept up the strength, it could have been really great. I thought it was better than the book... which, as my mom said, doesn't say much for the book. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate ~ Bob Dylan Team Cucumber, FTW!
I feel totally left out. I think I'm one of the only twilight fan on here who hasn't seen the movie yet. And now I REALLY REALLY want to, since Bella seems to be better than book Bella.Though that doesn't say much, considering how book Bella acts. _________________ Awesome Sig By Yas!
i really want to see it too. but i know that i won't for at least another two weeks
it's not fair _________________ i'm arkemedes and i approve this message
Just read a thread somewhere. In it, he stated he spotted the twilight nerds reading this:
and when he asked them why they bought the book again, they said because it was based off the movie...
so....Meyer wrote a book based off the movie which is based off the book?
or, is it just a reprint?
either way.....damn......talk about milking a series...
-SL213
It's a reprint. They reprinted the cover of the book. There are two reprints of it. One has a picture of the Cullens on it, like you posted and one has a picture of just Bella and Edward on it. that second one is the mass media edition. They do that for a lot of movies, reprint the cover.
I can think of one that doesn't...haha...
I'm debating whether or not to see it, just for the hell of it.....even though I know I'll hate it....

I L.O.V.E.D. Jaspers expessions!!! He's all like o.O teh whole time! He's my favorite character in the movies just cause of his expressions lol.
Edward annoyed the crap out of me. He's all "I *huge breath* Feel very *huge breath* protective *big breath* of you*big breath*" He really can't act to be honest...
neither can the girl who played Alice. I was very disappointed in her. I mean, she wasn't over dramatic like Edward was, but her lines, it's like she wasn't in it. You could tell that she was reading it off of a skript. With a good actor, you forget that it's a movie, not with her.
Charlie was perfect! I loved the part where he had the gun, and Bella's all, "Edward wanted to introduce him self formally" and Charlie throws up the gun and says, "Bring 'em in!" lol. T
he main thing that I didn't like was the fact that one second, Bella's all confused about him, the next, she can't live without him... I mean, that's the way it happend in the books (which annoyed me to now end) but you would think that they might be able to go slower with it...
Jacob was... odd. Not at all as I imagined him. His hair was almost scary it was so long!
lol. I loved how it stayed true to the books though. Like when Bella was narating, and they kept almost the exact words that was written in the book. I told my mom when we were coming back from the movie, I was like, "If you can find me a single sentence that came from the book that's in the movie, I'll give your ten dollors"
I was soooo disapointed in teh sparkles!!!! I litterally had to look, hard, for them, and I have my contactes in! They definitly couldv'e done better on the effects....
Again, got to say I loved Jasper!!!! He was the best actor, and he had only like, two lines lol
well, that's all I have to say, for now anyways lol _________________ Sig by Yasmine

Spoiler:
I agree, I loved Japser's facial expression, esp when Jessica said Jasper's the blond one, who always looks like he's in pain...his expression was priceless!
I also loved Kellen Lutz as Emmett, he was exactly like i pictured him in the books.

Oh I know!! Like when Rose said, "Are you even sure she's italian?" And he's all, "Well, her names Bella!" I loled at that. I wore my team Edward shirt to the movies!

really? I honestly think that Jacob is a self-centered know-it-all.
*possible spoilers for Eclipse if you haven't read it yet and maybe some Breaking Dawn spoilers, but not really... but I'll still put it in a spoiler*
Spoiler:
like how he tries to make Bella choose between him or Edward, and he know's that Bella and Edward belong together. To me, that shows selfishness. And then he goes and makes things more complicated by kissing Bella, not once, but twice. The only reason Bella kissed back is because Edward loved her enough to keep control of him self, to not hurt her. So Bella felt like she could kiss and not worry. It could have been with Jacob, or Mike, or Tyler, or any boy whose ever proffesed his love for her. It was new to her, and Jacob goes and takes advantage of that!
That's another thing. If Jacob loved her so much, then why put her in that possition? "Kiss me and I'll stay. Don't kiss me and I'll go kill myself" Of course she was going to kiss him! She didn't want him to die! When you know that you're in love with someone, but you love someone else, what would you do? Being in love with someone, and loving someone is different. I love my Parents, but when I get married, I'll be in love with my husband. Jacob knew this difference, and yet he was still so selfish, that he wanted to change the meaings of them, for his personal gain Like Bella said, she loved him, but not in the way that she loved Edward. And like Jacob said, they would have been together, if Edward wasn't around. But that makes all the difference! Edward is around. Jacob needs to suck it up and get on with his life, which he eventually does! See, Jacob, it's not impossible!
