Jacob knew from the beginning that she was in love with Edward and still attempted to get with her. He tried this at the height of her vulnerability and continued to pursue her even after Edward returned. He stopped being her friend and focused on only being more. Bella was always there for him, listening to him when he was upset about his fate. When did Jacob ever listen to her? When was he conciously ever there for her as a friend only? And it was Jacob who sexually assaulted her. It was Jacob who didn't even try to get over her. He could have turend to human form when he ran off so he didnt' have to hear Seth or Leah's thoughts.. but he didn't. His pain and misery was brought on by himself. Bella surely didnt' help matters, but that is a whole other story. Jacob was a sad, miserable person since becoming friends with Bella. Twighlight New Moon Eclipse and Breaking Dawn are freaking awesome books. I would reccomend them to anyone i see who likes vampires and everything. They are so cool. Can anyone remember in the 2nd on where Bella is in the forrest and Laurent is there, and then the Werewolves a.k.a Jacob, Sam, Embry, Paul and some other dude i can't remember his name, scared him off, why didn't lLaurent just take a chunk out of them i mean Emmet faces huge Grizzleys and Snaps them like a twig.

Plus, we learn that the werewolves are stronger than your average grizzly bear. I'm being immature because I think it's silly that you dislike Bella, yet like Jacob, and could actually state reasons for it? I dislike you right now, too! _________________
I think you're being immature for how you kept going "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in the above posts, and then making a snide remark on how "you're right anyway." THAT'S why I'm upset.
I like Jacob because I think he's the most developed and 3-dimensional character in the series. He has a freaking personality, even if he's still a pathetic character.
Bella is flat and a horrible role-model for teenagers, and a horrible protagonist in general. Meyer TELLS us that Bella is some sort of selfless, caring and generous angel, unconcerned with superficial looks, when the nicest things she's ever done is cook and clean for Charlie.
Most of the time she's drooling over her beautiful sparkly boyfriend, which rules out that she's unconcerned with appearences. Also note she blew off Eric because he looked like a chess-club kinda kid.
Bella has never made a real sacrifice, and is extremely selfish, given that she taunts poor Jacob and dumps all ambition and friendships to be with a boy she's barely known for two years. She hangs out with her friends in New Moon to get her father off her back, so she can continue to mope about Edward. I hate how she gets everything in the end, and all she did was give birth to a mutant spawn mary-sue baby. Like mother, like daughter.
She's unrealistic. She speaks like she's an extremely intelligent adult, when she makes some pretty STUPID decisions throughout the entire series. (Jumping off the cliff to hear Eddie's voice, running to Phoenix to die when she had an entire family of intelligent vampires that could formulate a plan, insisting on being on the battlefield when she's only going to get in the way.)
