I can understand where she's coming from, but punishing millions of fans for a mistake she made (She gave manuscripts to several people, RISKING THIS, and she punishes her fans for that?) seems a bit harsh and a lot more immature than I could have thought possible.

She has her sights on being the next J.K. Rowling and I don't see that happening. Mainly because Deathly Hallows was leaked and Rowling still finished and published DH on time.

r-pattz hates twilight?
i should read more interviews, i missed that Confused

When he signed on for Twilight, he thought it was going to be a vampire movie. He thought his character would get to actually BE A VAMPIRE.

He expected a vampire movie. Not Sparklemotion.

You should see him in documentaries and read interviews. He hates Edward and constantly says he's a horrible character, and has often said he dislikes the Twilight Series. I get the feeling the girl who plays Bella has the same idea..

Though she keeps her opinions quieter.

"When you read the book," say Pattinson, looking appropriately pallid and interesting even without makeup, "it's like, 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' I mean, every line is like that. He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108 year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there." <-- Quote from an article that is apparently not there anymore. :/

R.Pattinson on Twilight and Edward.

^I've seen many interviews and never saw anything like that. Usually they talk up the series. I mean, they could be lying, of course, but I never saw him say he doesn't like the character or the series. There are times they hesitate, but I have never seen them say anything horribly negative about the series.

Well, I just edited in some tidbits of what I've seen. We get a lot of stuff posted in the movie section on TS.com, but I'm too tired to sift through pages of threads.

Pattinson DOES say he is not a fan of Edward, and though they don't criticize the book as complete crap, I can tell they aren't huge fans. x:

Edit: Though my claim that he hates Twilight may actually be wrong. I'm tired. I could be confusing him with something else I've read, so don't take my word for it. I'll try to clear it up further tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure Rob doesn't hate Twilight. That was the most ridiculous idea I had ever heard. I mean, it's probably not his favorite book, but still. I read/see the interviews too, and I have never heard him say that.

So maybe he doesn't hate Twilight.

He still dislikes Edward. I don't think he really knew what he was signing on for when he auditioned.. x:

Lol, when he heard the movie was about vampires, I'm guessing he didn't know anything about Twilight. They handed him a script and a book and he realized "Wow, this guy sucks. ._."

He wants them to let him slaughter a room of people because, you know, it's a vampire movie. He is REALLY not too happy with it. x:

Another reason to hate the movie more, because Stephenie had to give out manuscripts for people to understand my Edward more, and now look, her work was totally violated!!! its upseting!!! I know she shouldn't delay the book but put yourself in her position her creative motive has be replaced by despair, created by the violation of the leaked manuscript. Yeah she'll get back to it when this whole thing blows over, but who knows how long that would take her??

Even though he may not be to happy with Edward, I don't think he minds Twilight. He might actually like it. Confused
Btw, am I the only one who thinks Robs american accent is super sexy? Very Happy lol

I don't think he /likes/ it. He may not hate it, but I don't think he likes it. He thinks that the relationship between Bella and Edward is completely unreasonable, and thinks it's sad for Stewart to be playing a character like Bella.

I'm also not exactly agreeing with her view on how the book should have been put on hold. Deathly Hallows was leaked to death, and Rowling still finished. She didn't care.

What Smeyer COULD have done was heavily edit the atrocious manuscript so it wouldn't matter. If she didn't want this to happen, she shouldn't have lent it out to more than one person.

The entire situation is mostly HER FAULT. She blames her fans.

I don't think that Robert hated his character and all that just beacuse his character doesn't get to kill people, but he was probably disappointed. I mean, who wouldn't be?

I never said he hated his character because he didn't get to kill people. He hates him for his personality, his entire character in how he is. But yes, he was disappointed. I feel sorry for him.

My friend reccomended it to me and then a sample of the book came with a magazine I bought - the preface and the first chapter.

I bought Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse today and have started reading Twilight. I'll get Breaking Dawn online, as it's half price. Razz

So. I'm officially a Twilight addict.

I have what another friend on another forum describes as a "woman-crush" on Alice.

I relate myself to the character Bella Swan in some strange ways.

And I think Edward is quite possibly my favorite male character in any series.

The only reason Rob would be dissapointed in Edward is because to bella,he's perfect, and he doesn't want to play a perfect guy. Thats what I think anyway. I'm not going to get seriousy involved in this discussion until someone postd an interview where Rob says he doesn't like Edward. I won't believe it till I read it, and I don't believe half the things I read.

This is where I found it.

She quoted the passage in her post, but for some reason her links aren't working anymore. I'll try to find the interview, or maybe she can find some new links. Until then, make do with this.

I don't get what's so hard to accept that an actor might not like Edward if they didn't know what they were getting into. Maybe it's just me and the fact my hormones aren't nutsy crazy, but I find absolutely NOTHING about Edward or his personality attractive.

To me, there is nothing appealing about a glittergroomed marble statue that steals my car engine to prevent me from seeing friends.

Um, wow, did you just skip over this whole forum? I think you did. We were just discussing the movie. You're new, so heres a piece of advice: always read the last page of a thread before you post in it. Anyways, Morgan Shay, if you don't like Twilight, then why did you post here anyways?

I posted here to let everyone know about Midnight Sun, then we got into a discussion. As a FORMER fan, I think I have the right to do that. (And maybe throw in a little bit of teasing in the process. ;D) I haven't attacked anyone for liking Twilight yet. I do, however, like to discuss it and debate about it. :/

Whats wrong with glitter? Sad

And it wasn't the whole engine... just a piece of it, lol.

When I first read that part, I hated hated hated him. I really did. I thought he was a jealous, obsessive nutter. For some reasons, I still preferred him ov er Jacob and couldn't understand why... until I read on...
... and realized why Edward was acting like that. It wasn't that he was a nutcase...
Spoiler:

Bella was a moron and couldn't be trusted. The story would have been a ton better if he had dumped that cheating psycho for me, but alas, Stephanie Meyer decided that for some strange reason, this Mary Sue was going to get to keep my Sparkly. Team Cucumber!!!
