From what I've heard about Breaking Dawn thus far, I think it's safe to say that the rumors can be put to rest as to which series is better.

Granted I never read a twilight book, but you get the point!

Aye Aye, Captain. I was considering the series myself but the reviews I've read for Meyer's latest installment has been positively scathing. Sad

Did people dress up for the release of the last novel? Very Happy

Yes they did. And just because the last installment wasnt the best doesnt mean you still shouldnt read the series. Its a great series. I would still read it if I were you.

Ok Ive officially finished reading Breaking Dawn and my thoughts are this....WTF?!?

Spoiler:

ok seriously someone should have died or Alice and Jasper shouldn't have come back or they should have found out they died or Jake and Nessie should have run and Bella couldnt find them or something! I mean seriously what is up with the perfect ending?! Happily ever after is not how this should have ended. Its just wrong. lol. I think we need a remake with a longer deadline where she wouldnt have to cram in all that writing into one summer. Maybe if she re-wrote it someone would die lol. I was kinda hoping Bella would die when she was having the kid. I dont know why but it just seems like someone should have died or been hurt. There were no injuries with the Volturi which was slightly disappointing. I seriously thought that she would kill off either Jacob or Edward. Ok rant over. It was a good book anyways lol

I thought the same thing, but then...

Spoiler:

I was just so happy nothing sparkly died, especially Edward or Alice, that I was just too happy to care about the sappy perfect ending, lol.
And technically, Bella did die when she was having the baby. Wink

Spoiler:

Haha I guess technically she did. Im happy that they found a way to keep Jacob around and I wonder if him and Nessie ever got married. I would love to see how one of their kids turned out. I wonder if their kids would be more like Jake or if they would be pale and sparkly and such.

ooooh, i would like to see...

Spoiler:

...what their kid would look like. I would guess that someday they would get married... unless the Volturi steps in at some moment.

I thought BD was amazing but there were some parts that shocked me to no end. And about the above quote:
Spoiler:

but I didn't think that could happen because wouldn't she stop aging at age seven, according to the other one, can't remember his name right now, lol. But that would be if they were all the same, and no one said they were so I guess anything could happen.

And about Bella....
Spoiler:

becoming pregnant, I was like "TAKE THAT THING OUT OF YOU!" and at the same time i thought that would be abortion, something I'm seriously appalled by, so they shouldn't do that. But now, having read the book, I can see that she was very brave to go through all of that, and Edward has more self control then I thought.

My mom took me to get Breaking Dawn on the day it came out, and I was really excited. When I got to the store, I saw a display of the previous Twilight books, but no Breaking Dawn.I started to panic, but then the saleslady said "Are you looking for Breaking Dawn?I'm hording them behind here." Phew. Heart attack avoided!

Spoiler:

They dont' stop aging, they finish aging. Nessie ages at a fast rate. So fast, that in 7 years she'll be a mature woman and then she'll stay that way.

Spoiler:

Oh, I know! I was like, that was a joke theory!

The only thing I got really appalled at was when...
Spoiler:

Edward told Jacob he could sleep with his wife to make her happy so she could have kids. So weird.

^yeah

Spoiler:

I think after reading Harry Potter we expect important characters to die, but I am completely happy that Bella and Edward got the happiest happily ever after, I mean we gotta stop expecting death, and Bella did die, and Tanya's sister, but I'm extremely happy with the ending!!!

Spoiler:

The only thing is when you get to the book 3 part theres a table of contents and the last one says "The happy Ending" or something like that, and totally ruined the ending. Well, it probably saved me from a heart attack. Very Happy

Spoiler:

See, I just can't join in your joy about the fact that sparkly people didn't die. It's just too perfect and annoying. Stephenie Meyer can't handle writing a long series. She gets too caught up in the stupid things that don't matter, and her plots are elusive. Everytime that you think you find the plot, it just turns into one of you fireworks and becomes an event along the way taht fizzles out eventually. Remember on TF when we were talking about a common antagonist among all of the books? Maybe if she would have used something like that, then the plot would have evolved better or at all even.

Spoiler:

If she had planned the saga better, then it would have been tons better.
And yeah, I know the odds were against them and one of them should have died.. but I can't help but to be happy that my sparkly is still sparkly.

Spoiler:

Actually Stephenie Meyer said that she knew the ending of the saga way early, like right after she finished Twilight, so she did have a plan, but the thing about her, or this is something she mentions, is that she likes happy endings and couldn't kill anyone. Same reason why she doesn't want to start writing the sequels to The Host, she mentions that someone has to die.

Spoiler:

Yeah, I just read that interview where she says she planned stuff out . In that same interview she said how she didn't plan everything out, like with why Rosalie went from interesting to a bitch. And who Embry's father is. She admitted to not planning everything out. So I can't believe that what she did plan was thought out well at all.
