So, Caradoc Dearborn, mentioned in OTP, is the only member of the original OTP who is unaccounted for - everyone else was either killed by Vold/Death Eaters, or survived, or crossed over to the other side Wormtail).
I think this is significant, becuase JK hardly ever leaves threads like that untied. The only thing we know about him is that he disappeared 6 months after the OTP group photo was taken.
My guess - really out there - is his story might tie in with that of Regulus A Black (RAB).
Also, leave it to JKR to rarely name even a small character without reason - Caradoc was the name of a Celtic prince who led a British rebellion against occupying Romans in early 2nd century Britain.
Link to a wikipedia article on all the original members of the OTP. You need to scroll down a bit. It's very obvious when it's laid out this way that Cara-D is the odd one out.

Dumbledore's brother sounds like a funny guy. Is he really the barman of the Hog's Head? I hope he pops up in the next book.

I think you're right about it being connected with Regulas Black. In Half Blood Prince DD said that you needed two people to retrive the locket and DD is pretty strong and he wanted to stop drinking the potion so If RAB got the locket he must have had help. I wondered all the time who helped him. Thanks for providing me with a possibility.

Remember in the 5th one when Moddy shows Harry that old pic with members of the order when his parents lived?? That guy was one of them and Moddy said that he disapeared 6 months after the pic was taken.

I have just now thought that it could be kreacher, who helped RAB with the potion. Maybe he even got the elf to drink it for him. It might explain why he is a little mad.

I clicked the first link, and then clicked "Order of The Pheonix" in the Sub-Topics. I stopped reading when they said Harry was suffering from teenage angst, I burst into a complete fit of laughter.
But you do have a good theory. This could be possible.
