okay this topic actually got me steaming mad...i think that we should be in the middle east taking care of the terrorist. why shouldnt we? they can attack us, kill our citizens yet we cannot do anything about it, which is bull. and no i am not just talking about 9/11, if none of guys are old enough to remember the twin towers had bombs go off in the basements i believe in the early 90's. its not just our country that is getting attacked by them. i say enough is enough, take them out. but no, people dont want that, bc we have to be sensitive about what we do. this war is going to turn out just lke vietnam bc politics are getting involved where they shouldnt. honestly! in ww2 do you think we gave a rats ass what germany, italy, and japan thought as we killed their troops and their people... well we did, but we still went in and got to business. not like this war, no we got to listen to the now majority democrats in the senate go... 'waaaaaaaaaaaaah we're down 3000 troops over 6 years... we gotta get home...."
being a soldier i will tell you this, yes its a sad thing when they die, yes its terrible, but when we took the oath in that little blue room, we knew what could happen. those 3000 died for our country to try and stop a group of people that has been sending attacks at us for decades! its our job, and jesus, let us do our job, dont shove politics at us, condemning what we are meant to do. or sitting their saying we need to get us out of there, most of us actually want to be there, i want to be there i just put in to be there. i want to protect this country, not let it rot in this game of currupt politics! might i add, sending us no money to do or job and barely keep us safe is not helping either democrats!
and as for the "economic issue" umm... may i point out we're doing hell a lot better now even in a war than when clinton was president. we are still the wealthiest, we are not going to sit here and slip into a depression. AND JUST BECAUSE WE ARE THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY DOESNT MEAN WE SHOULD GIVE A RATS ASS IF EUROPE, SNOBBISH EUROPE, HATES US! next time they get bombed up the butt we wont rebuild it for them!

If we were actually fighting terrorists there wouldn't be a problem. Don't forget that the imaginary WMDs weren't actually found. Al-Queda was linked to Afghanistan, not Iraq. We're in Iraq not because we were attacked, but because George Bush's imaginary friend told him to go on a rampage to kill some muslims, get some oil, and avenge daddy.

As a democrat, I'm not too concerned for the lives of our own soldiers right now. As you said, they put themselves in that position (my view will of course change if our dictator decides to start a draft). As for wasting money on them - I don't think that in the $9,100,000,000,000 of debt that this war has gotten us we should be spending even more money on our troops. If you don't want to die, then don't go out invading other countries for the sake of invading them.

Just answer me one question. What the hell has USA achieved in Iraq?
Capturing Sadam? Do u really think that 1000000 people were worth sadam hussein? Bush has already killed 2 times more people in 4 years, then saddam in 20. And Plus let me tell you that the reason USA went to Iraq is not terrorists (and they didnt find much anyways) but because they claimed that Iraq has chemical and Nuclear weapons. The only reason the U.S went to Iraq was because of oil, and gas prices. Everyday people are dieing so that ignorant u.s. citizens can save just a measly nickel on gas........ George Bush gives us this bull that the u.s is in the war because of Weapons of mass destruction, but the truth is george bush is just a little smarter than a monkey and the war in Iraq is pointles..... Were not trying to liberate the iraq people from a communistic governement or what ever it was we were saying we were doing, we would send troops into Darfur.
