Did anyone ever read that series? I did. It's a great series...I cried when I read the last book. And I love Lemony Snicket's writing style.

^ haha, imagine if someone said that about HP here?

I saw the movie, too. I keep meaning to read the books... do you know if they're coming out with any more movies for the series? I know they pressed, like, three books into one movie... but aren't there 13 books? I hope there will be more, the movie was very good. Of course, I never read the books so for all I know the movies were garbage compared to the books.

You should read the books, I read some of them, they are indeed good, lol. And yeah, there are thirteen books. I read that it's likely that there will be another movie, when, who knows..Lemony Snicket is..well, sneaky, lol.

The books were awesome. But if you guys think they mess up the Harry Potter movies by changing and removing parts of the book for the movie, it's nothing compared to ASoUE. They only did the first 3 books for the movie, and they messed up the order and added scenes that weren't in the book. I heard they weren't coming out with another movie, because the actors all got too old for their parts.

And this is my 100th post! Cheerleader

I've read all 13 books and absolutely love the ASOUE series. I recommend them to any Potter fan I know.

NimbusKeeper, I think the books get better as the series goes on, so I would tell you to start reading them again.

Lemony Snicket isn't his real name, just his pen name. His style is amazing though.

yeah, the movie was ok, but it was nothing like the books. and they would have to use all different actors for the kids. emily browning and liam aiken (spelling?) would be way too old and they would have had to get new babies right away anyway.

but the books are hilarious! Very Happy

I've read them all, including The Unauthorized Autobiography and The Beatrice Letters. I really want to read the other one, Horseradish. I still can't figure it all out though. The mystery is still there. Oh, BTW, The movie is completely bogus compared to the books. I mean to say that the movie was good, just not like the books. Kinda like the 4th and 5th HP movies.

it's just a bunch of little phrases and stuff. like, "It is always sad when someone leaves home, unless they are simply going around the corner and will return in a few minutes with ice-cream sandwiches."

You can't compare the movie with the books, thats absurd. I read every single one of those stinkers, even though 1-6 are basically the thing but they are important later on. I loved the ending to the last book, completely unexpected. They're nearly up there with Harry Potter for me
