By some weird unknown reason, the people Voldemort killed (directly and indirectly) had somehow escaped death, who would it be?
I, myself, think it would be Sirius. We don't know much about the Veil. |

| jo has clearly stated that there is no hope for James and Lilly. Dumbledore's death is the most suspicious in my opinion. But then again, we do not know anything about the veil where Sirius fell. I really do not know what to say... |

Yes yes. She also said DD isn't coming back. Until she confirmed he wasn't I was positive he would. Dumbledoreisnotdead.com<3. I was shocked when she said he was definitely dead and wasn't going to come back.

I hope he is just stuck or something and that people will be able to get him out. He is an important character. Harry could use him at his side in the coming days.

| Sadly, I believe that they are all dead. Dumbledore and Sisrius are the iffy ones. We don't know much about the Veil and what Snape really did. |

Not necessarily. If he escaped the veil, he wouldn't want to openly reveal himself since the Death Eaters all believe he's dead. He's waiting for the right moment. And if he didn't escape, then he could still be trapped behind the veil looking for a way out. |

Staying low, so the Ministry thinks he's dead and stops chasing after him. I think Sirius is still alive. On a thread somewhere it said J.K. confirmed the mirror would be used, assuming, Sirius is on the other side. I really think Sirius might still be alive. I mean, he's blown through some tapestry, what's the big deal?

Come on now. Bumbledore is buried and the bodies have been found of lily and James. Sirius' body was never found. The veil is in the hall of mysteries, thus we do not know if the veil is a view into the afterlife and if you fall in you just die. Harry needs a father figure and the best one to come back would be Sirius.
