Jo has confirmed that Dumbledore is definitly dead, but there are ways he could come back. Such as a ghost~!!!
Other possible ways???

He could reincarnate into something.
Or i've heard rumours about a spell that can put someone's soul into someone's body, kind of like the Inferi but not evil...

People only come back as ghosts when they have suffered an unhappy death.
Dumbledore's wasn't really unhappy, he was dying for the sake of Harry and the Order.

When you think about Dumbledore did die un happy not just because he got murdered but because he found out snape betrayed him even tho he trusted snape.

Not necessarily.
Remember that Snape had an Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa over Draco.
Dumblefore may have known about it, and may have told him to do it as a last resort.
Besides, Dumbledore has done his job, and done it good, so I think he died a happy man.

hasnt anyone ever thought he can come back as a portrait?...in the headmasters/headmistresses office there are portraits of the former hogwarts headmasters/headmistresses....in the 6th book it said that his portrait was there snoozing...WELL YOU CAN TALK TO PORTRAITS...so harry can visit and talk to him whenever he wants...maybe dumbledore will guide him through how to defeat voldemort or anything else Harry needs help on
