the problem with this is that we are all use to the actors in the film atm... so it would have to be say ten or more yrs down the road until they could re-do it so it wasnt weird... but i think making it a tv series is what they should have done with it in the first place!!!

But tv seris get cancelled. Can you imagine if it went through half of season 5, and then.... that's it. And then the action gets interrupted for Woolite commercials? A tv series is an awful idea.

That would be quite interesting, yes, but I don't think JKR would allow it.
Anyway, it would have to be done extremely well for it to not ruin Harry Potter. Otherwise I probably wouldn't like it, especially if they don't use the same actors.

A Lot of popular shows get cancelled before their time. What if it got cancelled before they got to the seventh season?

And I don't think I could handle the commercials.

How about.. an animation based on Hogwarts set in the same time as the epilogue. Lol I'd totally watch that if it was more about normal HP life with little childish mysteries and lots of quidditch focussed around the kids of main HP characters. Rolling Eyes

LOL, "The Misadventures of Hugo And Lily"
I would tune in every week to see what zany mischief those two little tykes would get into.
Hugo and Lily investigate the third floor corridor! Hugo and Lily venture into the Forbidden Forest and make friends with the Centaurs. Hugo and Lily solve the mystery of the Golden Snitch.

Rose: What are you two doing?
Lily: Solving a mystery! *wide eyes*
Hugo: Yeah, there was a three-headed dog in the third floor corridor!
Lily: But it was really Scorpius playing a trick on us. *sad face*
Hugo: Those Slytherins. *angry face* We'll show them they can't mess with a Gryffindor tomorrow at the Quidditch game. *raises tiny fist in the air*
Rose: You are not supposed to be out of the Common Room after dark. Five points from Gryffindor! Now get back to bed before I tell mom and Aunt Ginny!

Tivo? Sweetie, I use a vcr. They both have the same end result.
The mere act of having to pull out of the fantasy world to locate the remote (which always gets lost when you need it) then have to sit there and fast forward it and....oops, gone to far, rewind. fast forward. Hit play. Rolling Eyes SO annoying! And what if it gets preempted by a football game? Then you've missed taping it and for fabulous Tivo won't catch it. Or what if it gets overthrown by a presidetial speach or a blackout? Then, what, I'm supposed to wait until it comes out on reruns?

Idk, like wouldn't the episodes ruin the movie, IF they decided to it?

I would totally watch a cartoon version, but not of the HP films...just like the cheesy cartoon spin-offs of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Back to the Future.

The Adventures of Harry Potter at Hogwarts!...it could go spectacularly wrong, but still classic in my mind. ha!

It's not a terrible idea, but I don't think they'd be able to make it work. Like if it got canceled or I don't know. I think the only positive thing would be they could fit more stuff in.

"And now, back to Harry Potter! (plays theme song)"

If it were a show they would probably add a lot of stuff and cut out a lot more. In fact, they might stray from the storyline entirely.

I'd hate it if HP7 was a TV series. I'd go on a killing spree.

I don't think it would get cancelled because when the movies come out there are always lines to go into the theater that it is showing in and they are the top movies in the theaters. I think a mini series would be great. As for the commercials get a DVR or T-VO you can record the show and then fast forward through the commercials.

A TV Series wouldn't be a bad idea but there is one thing that'll ruin the quality: The special effects wouldn't be as good as the movies. I mean most tv shows have crap effects and some like lost and smallville and others have quite good effects but nothing that matches a movie so nope. Movies are for the best.
