For everyone who is asking when it is legal to have sex in the U.S.-
It is legal for teenagers as long as both of them agree and are under 18. Even if you have consent, an over 18 year old person could be charged with statutory rape for having sex with an under-18
(Trust me, my parents are lawyers)

It varies by state.

I think that Ron was too protective of Ginny. He is Harry's best friend, but doesn't trust him with his sister? What kind of friendship is that?
P.S. ~ I think a kiss would be a great birthday gift. I've never been kissed by a guy before. (It would be nice if given by the CORRECT guy. Wink )

It's not so much the kiss itself that bothered Ron... it's just that he knows Harry broke up with her before and doesn't want to see her get hurt by him again. And he was right, Harry had no intentions of getting back together with her right away. And it did make her cry, So, yeah, Ron was sorta right in this case, he was looking out for his sister's feelings. I mean, he could have left them alone, but his intentions were well meaning.

Yeah it just shows how much the two of them have grown up throughout the series. It's a stark contrast to when Ginny was 11 and had a crush on Harry.

This thread reminds me of a dream I once had.
Harry and Ginny were in his room, making out, and they wanted to go all the way, but Ron, Hermione, FredorGeorge and Percey were outside the door peeking into the room and giggling. (pervs! LOLZ) Then ol' Molly Weasley came over and shooed them away, because she wanted to give Harry and Ginny some "alone time".

Anyway, I'm thinking Ginny was just showing her emotions about his leaving to Harry. Therefore, the kiss was passionate.
I adore Harry/Ginny. :')

i don't think she intended to have sex with harry. you'd have to be mad to consider having sex in a place as small as the burrow. especially when doors can be unlocked so easily. i mean u all saw how easily ron got into the room. i think that she knew she wouldn't see him for a while so she wanted the kiss to stick with him. nothing more than that.

well just to add, a locked door is nothing for a determined young witch or wizard. i mean the SS/PS was being protected from the GREATEST DARK WIZARD EVER and hermnione opened the lock in her first year. o.0

so i think if someone wanted to peek in on the kiss
Spoiler:

(which IMO was totally ginny trying to get a little magic outta harrys wand)

a lock would not have stopped it.

Which ever magic that was, would it have been available to Ginny?

Which brings me to my next question: What was the magic?

The one we're talking about. Supposedly "Alohamora" didn't work on a door. There must have been some sort of enchantment there for it to be so...
