I think HBP is very doable in a movie format without losing too much or cut out alot.....I jsut hope they stay true to the evolution of the books and set us up for horcruxes.

Making the movie period because you've all seen what happens four bad movies in a row. The next two won't be any different.

Hopefully to much won't be cut unlike the 5th Evil or Very Mad 800 pages? The 7th book is almost that long, how much of that will they cut?!
Fear the misplacing of events in the story line!

for the 7th, they prolly wont cut as much as shorten. i am really hoping they make the 7th the longest to fit in everything. like a little longer than the first movie cause that was the longest so far i think

I think one of the biggest mistakes that could be made and probably will be made is making the film too short and thus, having to cut too much.

I would think cutting out the Draco parts. Not to be all Draco-crazy but... If you think about it, they HAVE to show Draco disarming Dumbledore for the Elder Wand stuff in the 7th book/movie to make sense. If the Draco/Dumbledore scene doesn't happen, the Elder Wand's master will be Snape, if they choose to show that part, wouldn't it?

If they had the right hair and eye color, they could pull that off.

erm worst thing, screwing up dumbledore's death scene, it better be good.

Heck yes it better be good. They should just go all out and copy that whole scene word for word from the book. So they make no mistakes.

Oh goodness, e5_man! Too silly!

This wouldn't be the worst thing, but I really hope they don't omit the story of Merope Gaunt and Tom Riddle, Sr. A cool and tragic plot/intro to Voldemort's origins.

Reminds me of Gollum's backstory in the beginning of Return of the King.

here's the thing...they have to cut something. they need to keep all of the pensieve parts, the battle in hogwarts, retrieval of the horcrux in the cave...well all parts like that. what they should cut is stuff that we can really live without. though it would be fun, they should cut ron and lavendar makeout, maybe focus a little less on draco (though they better keep the sectumcempra chapter. the point is they'll cut down on the elements that do not contribute directly to the plot, which is the discovery of voldemort's past and the death of dumbledore.

As an excuse not to make the seventh movie, Lord Voldemort appears at the Ministry and tells the Minister of Magic and everyone else that he was "just screwing with you."

I nearly died laughing after I read that "Look you guys, I just wanted to see how much you guys would freak. I don't really want World Domination and all that, maybe just a taco or something" Smile
